PRD - Unchained Rogue page appears to be titled as Unchained Monk....

also the page links )such as clicking weapon finesse) don't appear to be working confirmed in chrome and IE).

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/unchained/classes/rogue.html

Unchained Rogues table is formatted differently to all other tables on the site.

It looks like there is an unclosed bold tag in the Fortification ability on this page.

The following page's internet tab says "unchained monk" when it should say "unchained rogue."

The Vampire Spawn template from Monster Codex is not listed under the "templates" index.

Hi,

While generating treasure for my group, I noticed the random weapons table in the Appendix is missing results from 65 - 85. The table goes like this:

64–65 Rapier
85–87 Spear

There's nothing between 65 and 85.

Yes I see that as well, I noticed it in the 1st printing of Ultimate Equipment.

At the very bottom of this page: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/unchained/classes/barbarian.html
It has a list of rage powers from "Ultimate Combat" but it is titled as "Ultimate Campaign"

Direct link to the fortification ability with the unclosed bold tag.

Is the Pathfinder Reference Document website going to be updated again anytime soon? Not asking for new content or errata's but just the reported errors. I'm sure everyone at Paizo is up to their eyeballs in projects, but the last update was in Oct 2015 (6 months ago). Thanks.

I am, in fact, working on Things as I type.

Any update on Things? :)

Starting with the Fortification ability, the Universal Monster Rules page is entirely in bold face.

For the Advanced Class Guide Feats: the Feat "Improved Studied Combatant" on the list states a prerequisite of "Int 14" but when you go the description of the feat itself, it says the prerequisite is "Int 13".

The link for the Investigative Mind spell in the Advanced Class Guide isn't working for me. It sends me to a page that says, "The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area." Other spell links from the ACG and other sources seem to be working fine.

This has been a "bug" on this website since it's redesign. Seems like such a simple fix (missing a [/b] in the code? lol). When are we going to have another update to fix this and the other bugs? Thanks.

The team that performs the PRD updates is comprised of two people (myself and Liz Courts). This is on top of our other areas of responsibility, and Paizo has had a lot of exciting and new things crop up in the last few months that have required us to divert attention elsewhere. We are still working on items as we have time, and I hope for us to have an update before PaizoCon (barring any outstanding emergencies). I know it's not "good" news, but we're doing what we can. We appreciate your patience as we catch up :)

Dark Archive

We totally appreciate everything your team does for Pathfinder! Thanks for the update, just anxious anything new you provide. You guys rock!

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateEquipment/gear/lodgingAndService s.html

Shows the Inn Stay (Poor) as 2 Gold Pieces.
Shows the Inn Stay (Common) as 5 Silver Pieces.
Shows the Inn Stay (Good) as 2 Gold pieces.

I have a feeling the poor inn isn't as costly as the good in (scarcity not withstanding), but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be 2 Silver or 2 Copper.

Links to investigative mind fail, because the file is currently named "investigateMind.html".

That... sucks, to be honest. Definitely not because of you or Liz, but to hear that the place where lots of GMs (and players) go to check up on some rules or RPG line content is maintained by only two people, who're also involved in god knows how many other projects, is worrisome. Sure, it's free, but it's also Pathfinder's showpiece on the internet.

Ditto for the Mesmerist.

Both are missing the column header for 0 level spells and have all the other column headers shifted one to the left as a result.

Yes, and I see that I accidentally reported it twice. Oops.

It seems like suddenly all my links are broken... I have links to various common spells I cast, and I keep that list in a text doc and cut and paste into posts (play by post) when I need 'em.

Suddenly, they seem to be all no good. For example, my Detect Magic (link) worked just fine the other day. Today I get this error, "The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area."

Lest you think this is just me making some local error - the same thing is happening when I do searches within the PRD. For example, this search for the word 'feats' (link) in the PRD gives me a nice list of options, but each one I tried goes to the same error message.

Did you folks just change all the links around? Are they changing back, or what's the story? If they're not changing back and this is the new way of doing things, when will the PRD search be fixed so I can search all my spells and relink?

I don't think it matters, but just in case, I'm on a current OS Macintosh using Chrome and Safari as my browser. I get the same results in each browser.

I'm encountering the same problem as Euan - I'm using Firefox on Windows 7, so it's probably not on our end.

Community & Digital Content Director

Unfortunately, this likely means that your bookmarks/saved links are pointing to older directories (which we've finally removed from our servers, as they kept getting grabbed in search results). We changed these directories nearly 6 months ago. I'll ping our Tech Team to determine when the reindex of the search results will be happening.

I tried Euan's link for Detect Magic. The first result gave the error, but the second (pointing to the CRB) worked. There's definitely something going on with the results there - here's hoping that reindex will fix them. XD

If you go to the prd, and use that search function to look for detect magic, you get a long list of links. The first one gets the "not found" message (this may be because 3 seconds before I did this search I clicked on Euan's link), the second goes directly to the entry for that spell in the prd.

I've been having the same problem with PRD searches all day. Most of the links that my searches return end in "The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area."

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Apparently you updated the PRD recently (which is great!), however you decided to altered URLs of the pages (which is fine), but you didn't do proper redirects. For instance, I used to frequent the monster creation page to look up XP based on CR (as I don't have the table memorized), and I visit it so often, all I have to do is type in 'mo' in my browser address bar and it's one of the websites listed.

The original address was http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/monsterCreation.html, but the new address is http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/bestiary/monsterCreation.html#appendix-1 -monster-creation.

If I go to the original address I get a dead page. Proper design dictates that I should have been auto-redirected to the new page address. Also by not doing redirects, you search engine rankings on pages is all messed up now. For instance, if I search for 'paizo monster creation', the top result in Google is the old web page. If you do proper redirects, not only do you not lose your search engine rankings, but the search engines will pick up on the address being changed and start pointing to the new address automatically.

Depending on how you structured the page naming convention, you can get away with doing wildcard redirects. For instance, if all of your pages ins the 'monsters' folder have been redirected to the 'bestiary' folder, you can do a redirect for that entire folder.

Everytime I try to access anything on the PRD I get the big golem and the following message

the requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area.

Chris, I understand what you're saying, but must agree with B.O.B.Johnson - you need redirects in place. You've changed many of the links around, and your own system doesn't even know it. There are breaks all over the place and using the PRD is driving me nuts.

Sure, I own all the PDFs I use, because I'm a good boy, but the PRD is incredibly valuable as a tool, particularly for searches, and it's broken. Let us know when this will be fixed and I'll use one of the third party products in the meantime.

Community & Digital Content Director

For clarity: I totally agree! I just need to moot with some members of the team to see when we can resolve the problem. If it can't be done quickly, we'll restore those files with the latest versions and give this adjustment another try later on.

I was just about to report that seemingly all of the hyperlinks to the PRD in my PbP characters' profiles are suddently all 404'd...

but you seem to be on this...

Community & Digital Content Director

Alrighty, with the help of our amazing Sys Admin, Lissa Guillet, the links should now redirect. We do have a reindex of search results on our radar, but folks should not be running into issues with old pages now. I'd recommend clearing your browser cache and if you find any erroneous pages at this point, please report them here :)

Shadow Lodge

Thanks Chris!

I did a few quick checks and my troubles look to be over. I appreciate the quick fix! If I find anything weird, I'll let you know.

I've been trying to use the bestiary index today, and the filters don't appear to be completely functional. Neither the creature subtype nor the climate & terrain filters are having any effect on the list of results.

The browser tab name for Symbol of Strife comes up as 'Symbol of Slowing'.

In the archetypes for psychics, the table Spell Recollection (for the Amnesiac) is located past the Formless Adept archetype, instead of before it. I guess I understand if, because that's essentially where it ended up on the printed product, that's where it has to go on the PRD, but it is a bit confusing on the first read (kind of like this sentence!).

Point Blank Master (feat from the Advanced Players Guide) is not listed in the Feats Index.

Animal purpose training is listed, for inquisitors, as level 1 in its description and level 0 in the Spell List Index; on the latter, the shaman is listed as having animal messenger both at levels 2 and 3.

Since I don't seem to be able to edit the previous post again: the cleric has anti-incorporeal shell and persistent vigor listed as level 3 in the SLI, but 4 both on the description and the ACG spell list. Wreath of blades is level 4 for witches in the SLI, but 5 in the description and the UC spell list. Symbol of fear is listed on the SLI for witches both on levels 5 and 6.

The Unchained Rogue's page is titled on a tab as "Unchained Monk"

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/unchained/classes/rogue.html

The Mesmerist's page in the Occult Adventures section has a misaligned "Mesmerist Spells Known" table, that makes it look as if the Mesmerist, at first level, knows 4 1st level spells, 2 2nd level spells (which he can't cast), and no entry whatsoever for 0-level knacks.

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/occultAdventures/classes/mesmerist.html

Minor formatting issue not influencing functionality:

Nature Magic feat has name of a spell (know direction) in bold instead of italics.

Community & Digital Content Director

I'm going to push this notice to the PRD front page, but as a heads up: we're still chugging along on our pre-PaizoCon/bugfix update. Because of the timing with PaizoCon, my team is unable to integrate the changes from Ultimate Equipment's second printing until after the show. We apologize for the inconvenience, and will be working quickly to get the changes posted once we've returned and recuperated.

Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber

On the Spiritualist page the link for "sealed life (greater)" in the spell list section is broken.
The link URL is http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/occultAdventures/sealedLife.html
It just sends you to a Paizo "URL not found" page.

I tried to get to the haunt rules by searching the PRD, but clicking on Haunt Rules on the search results page just took me back to the front page on paizo.com. The link address is "http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/mastery/haunts.html#haunt-rules" which doesn't seem to direct correctly.

Silver Crusade

In the Witch info in Ultimate Magic, under the Beast of Ill-Omen hex, there are two links on the word "Bane" that should lead to the Core Rulebook spell of that name. Instead, they lead to the "Bane" weapon property.
