Please list your player name, PFS ID, etc.
It would also be great if y'all would make aliases for the pregens. Something like "[gobin_name] - [player_name]", if the system will let you.
GM Crucible |
So long as 'Great Green God' is okay with playing Reta, it looks like everyone gets what they requested:
Gerald — Moggy
Luke_Parry — Chuffy
The_Lake — Poog
Great Green God — The green one!
If not, y'all can mud wrestle to decide who gets what.
Extra cake for anyone who sings original goblin songs during the module. The great thing about pregens is they can die and everyone can still get credit, so let's be a little bit crazy!
Mogmurch da goblin |
This is an alias I have used for Moggy in the past. I haven't looked, but I bet he'll be created for WBG 2. If so, I'll edit him next time I am back in the office.
Edit: Awesome! I think this is WBG 1 Moggy! Please check to be sure it's correct for me, if you don't mind, DM. I'm on my phone right now.
I'd like the chronicle to be reported for:
Doodlevain Montefescue --Core
12445-14
Sovereign Court
GM Crucible |
@Gerald/Moggy: AC is higher (17 t15 ff13), HP is 10, Init +4, Perc +3, and the saves should be F:+5 R:+6 W-1 ...
Everything else is right ... (cough)
To help you out on the phone, your stat-block you can copy/paste is:
Alchemist 1: AC 17 (t:15 ff:13) HP 10/10; Init +4, Perc +3; F+5 R+6 W-1
GM Crucible |
That's fine, just so long as you have a valid character number by the end of the module.
GM Crucible |
FYI, I'll have limited access until Sunday afternoon. I'll still respond when I can, in the mean time.
GM Crucible |
We're approaching the end, so I'd like to ask everyone to start posting their character numbers for credit, if you haven't already. Of course, these must be CORE characters.
As a special module rule for WBG (and only WBG), death of the pregen does *not* carry over to your character. You've all completed enough at this point to receive full credit, even if you should die. (The team still has to finish for credit, though.)
This will help me get the chronicles out quickly.
I'll assume no one wants the slow track, unless you tell me otherwise.
Because this is "short", WBG awards only 1 XP and 1 PA. No day job rolls.
Reta Bigbad - End Girl |
I would put it toward Bullwhip (he seems to need all the help he can get), but instead we will put it toward:
Character Gwendolyn the Strange
Player Great Green God
PFS # 139009-12
GM Crucible |
... If you like, we can wait a bit to see if Bullwhip survives his other game ... that Crit was nasty.

DM, a correction to this prior post. Please change the PFS number to 12445-15 and the name to Doodlevain 'Doodle' Montafescue. Everything else is correct, though. Thanks.
GM Crucible |
Reminder: I still need PFS # for the chronicle from Chuffy.
GM Crucible |
Chronicles have been sent via PM. There is still a teeny bit of wrap-up to do, but we're pretty much there.
Please let me know if there is an issue with any of the chronicles.
GM Crucible |
A couple of notes before I close up shop here:
First, this event was reported through Endless Forms and the Flaxseed Lodge. I'll keep on him to make sure the report gets to Paizo's system, but I haven't seen it pop there yet.
Second, unless I hear otherwise, I'll assume you all received your chronicles, and that they're great.
Lastly, I want to say thank you for taking a chance on a "new" GM. I told you up front this was my first PFS GM and first PbP GM experience. I learned a great deal, and loved that the extra time to respond in the PbP format helped prevent several mistakes that I would have made in person. I'd love feedback, if you have any to share. Feel free to either post here, send a PM, or if you wish to be anonymous, have someone else send me a PM. (I see some of you signed up for my Gameday tables, so it couldn't have been *that* awful!)
In closing, you guys were fantastic. I was rolling with laughter on more than one occasion, imagining your goblins. Thanks for being a great (and timely!) group.
I'll mark the thread as inactive in a day or so.
GM Crucible |
If y'all want to do "WBG Too", we can move right into it. Report it as CORE again?
Reta Bigbad - End Girl |
I'm gamy. If so, this time I want the green one. ;)
GM Crucible |
Okay, that's three, and that's good enough for me. Ya'll figure out whether you wish to swap characters or not. That's up to y'all.
When we hear back from The_Lake (Poog), I'll know whether we need to recruit one more.
I'll open a new gameplay thread, but keep this discussion thread for our run of We Be Goblins Too CORE.
GM Crucible |
Okay, the gameplay thread is created. Yous guys figure out who is who, and dot in. I'll post the intro after I get some sleep.
GM Crucible |
Oookay. So go ahead and grab the WBG Too pregens, and update your profiles and summary description.
If anyone want to switch characters, now is the time.
GM Crucible |
Also, FYI, the "dead goblin pregen" rules for Too are different from the first module. (I'm not setting out to kill anyone, I just want you to know what the rules are. I know there are many players in the deadly Serpent's Rise module that wish they'd had a refresher on the "dead pregen" rules.)
This time through, dead pregen characters are dead. As a special circumstance in this module only (because goblins are suicidal), they can be raised/restored/etc., for a total of only 5 PP. Otherwise, the dead condition carries over to the character the chronicle is assigned to.
On the bright side, PFS rules say you don't have to pick the target character until the end, so in the event of goblin death, you can wait until the very end to make the choice between spending 5PP for the chronicle or assigning the death to a "stillborn" character number.
Much like the first, this module awards 1 XP and only 1 PP.
GM Crucible |
Oh, and in case I didn't mention it:
"Moggy sits and stews."
Inspired. Just inspired.
Well done.
GM Crucible |
It's a holiday three-day-weekend here in the U.S. I'll be out until tomorrow night (about 24 hours). If we're still waiting for anyone by the time I return (in about 24 hrs), I'll ask someone to bot them.

The Night Before Game Day
With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore
'Twas the night before Game Day, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The minis on the mantle had been painted with care,
in hopes that St. Jacobs soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of adventure played in their heads.
And Mama with her fighter, and my redeemed darkfire adept,
had just stolen into the lair of that false Razmiran sect.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should into view dance,
but a miniature sleigh and eight writers who freelance!
With a haggard editor, fresh from an all-nighter,
I knew in a moment it must be Wes Schneider.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now Tim! Now Nick!
Now, Greg and Amber!
On, Richard! On, John!
On, Mike and Mr. Baur!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of gamer swag, and audio dramas too.
And then, craning my ear to the roof perpendicular
I could hear the heavy tread boots of each contributor.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
down the chimney Young Wes came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fake fur, for they are not overfond
of that sort of thing in blue Washington's progressive Redmond.
A bundle of books he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddling librarian opening his pack.
His eyes--how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was in need of a mow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He looked a bit high, and slightly less than regal,
but that's what you get in a State where pot is half-legal.
His character, a multi-class ninja pirate half-dinosaur elf,
its huge Hero Lab sheet made me laugh, in spite of myself.
With a wink of his eye and a flip of his thumb
he showed me the new archetype that was yet to come.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his editing work,
and corrected our character sheets, even Bill's the rules jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Game Day to all, and to all a good game night!"
Everyone get their Game Day Tree up and hide their pre-painted Game Day eggs?
GM Crucible |
We're near (if not *at*) the end of this scenario. Please go ahead and list your PFS ID and character name that you want this chronicle applied to.
This is a Tier 2–4 CORE Chronicle.
GM Crucible |
Thanks, everyone!
Game is reported. Chronicles in your PM box.
You were a great table, and I had a whole lot of fun.
Feedback is always welcome, either here in discussion or via PM.
I hope to see everyone again at another table!
