Is there a class for armor?

Advice and Rules Questions

I was wondering if anyone had made a class based on armor users, like Tony Stark or Erza Scarlet?

Archetypes for Fighter, but not really a CLASS per se...

If you're willing to go 3rd Party, the Aegis psionic class from Dreamscarred Press does that quite well. It's basically summoner for armor and has a lot of cool powers to go with that.

i kinda did, it's a class based on the machine smith but 1/2 casting and using a suit that's sort of like an eidolon but more balanced(no stat replacements).

linky

do note though, that i never fully commited to it and never put it up for advice on the forums.

The Armorist from Spheres of Power is the class for playing Erza Scarlet. Grabbing the Telekinesis and Alteration spheres actually lets you cover pretty much every single power she has in the anime.

Our Guardian from Alternate Paths: Martial Characters can kind of do that.

I don't understand your question. heavy martials like Fighters, Cavaliers, and Paladins all make use of armor. What else are you looking for in a class?

Being familiar with the two characters he's referring to answers that question immediately. Google is helpful.

Anywho, an Aegis/Soulknife/Metaforge (Prestige Class) basically mimics Erza to a tee if you build it properly.

Synthesist archetype for Summoner could kinda replicate that if you built your Eidolon to resemble a knight or other armored being.

My suggestion is to grab the Tinker and use its archetype Ironclad.

The first is a robot-summoner, that controls a bunch of drone like robots. His archetype turns those robots into a armored suit he can use.

Each robot gets a little bit of customization with the use of inventions - with the ironclad, these customizations go into the suit.

And at level 4 you still get a robotic companion, the Alpha.

You know I'm ashamed it took me this long to realize the OP is asking for a literal Armor Class.

The Armorist from Spheres of Power would probably work well - they're able to summon different kinds of equipment, change the materials used, and so on. It might be the closest the setting currently has, and it probably wouldn't be too hard to flavor it as having a thing in the sky dropping equipment down for them to use.
