How does this interact with the Bane enchantment and the Rangers Favored enemy. My gut tells me that it effectively makes you immune to both.

Basically yeah, unless you take the enchantment or Favoured Enemy for both types.

Would you get the bonus though?

I was under the impression that specifically Favored enemy bonus' are separate from one another.

If a specific creature falls into more than one category of favored enemy, the ranger's bonuses do not stack; he simply uses whichever bonus is higher.

So if it falls into the category of both Human and Animal and I have both favored enemy Human +4 and favored enemy Animal +2 I'd apply the highest bonus. But my human FE bonus isn't also animal FE so as per how animal soul is worded it doesn't affect the target. And vice versa for animal favored enemy. Or are favored enemy bonus considered to have all "types" which the ranger possesses?
