Stat-to-save, but for regular martials?

Homebrew and House Rules

I was looking at this feat, and I just thought that it felt kinda cheap that a divine Charisma caster could pick up this and get their primary stat to all saves, but regular non-casters don't have anything comparable. And it's explicitly for divine casters- no way to get it without getting magic.

Rules wrote:

Your deity protects you against deadly attacks.

Prerequisite(s): Cha 13, Knowledge (religion) 5 ranks, ability to cast 2nd-level divine spells; blessings, domains, or mystery class feature.

Benefit: You gain a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier on all saving throws. If your Charisma modifier is already applied as a bonus on all saving throw (such as from the divine grace class feature), you instead gain a +1 bonus on all saving throws.

This feat works for:

Clerics
Druids
Paladins
Antipaladins
Oracles (for the extra charisma synergy)
Inquisitors
Warpriests
Rangers
Hunters

Any comparable conversion so that Fighters, Rogues, Monks, Barbarians, Gunslingers, Cavaliers, Samurai, Swashbucklers, Brawlers, etc. can share in the fun?

Only in third party publishers. Feats of Battle from Rogue Genius Games. Allows you to use fort or reflex in place of another save a few times a day and only works if you don't have caster levels.

Divine Protection is a broken feat. It steals one of the paladin's best class features and gives it to classes that are already really good. It got banned from PFS right away. I try my best to pretend it doesn't exist because I can't figure out why they ever thought this feat was a good idea. Especially when the VERY SAME BOOK already introduced a feat that lets you add your Charisma bonus to Will saves.

Note: The temple champion does not qualify as it doesn't have 2nd level divine spells.

Your training protects you against deadly attacks.

Prerequisites: Int 13, Heal 5 ranks, and Armor Training, Favored Terrain, or Uncanny Dodge.

Benefit: You gain a bonus equal to your Intelligence modifier on all saving throws. Subtract the highest spell level you can cast from this bonus.

Cyrad,
is this equally ridiculous? ;)

That looks good, but just for aesthetics I'd prefer if it was "subtract the highest level spell prepared from this bonus" or similar. Getting a power-down directly from gaining levels, rather than from choosing to utilize the abilities granted by that leveling, "feels" wrong.

It's encouragement to play a smart Fighter, but it doesn't work on some Fighter archetypes, some Ranger archetypes, some Barbarian archetypes, and isn't a primary stat like Charisma for Oracles, or a secondary stat like Charisma for Clerics.

I'm sure there is a better way to write it, but that what you get for about three minutes of work. :) I originally had "proficiency in all marial weapons" as a prereq, but that kept rogues out.

How about this one I just made up on the spot?

Mighty Muscles
You've trained your whole life for adventuring, and you know you will not fail.

Prerequisites: BaB +5, Power Attack, Cannot cast spells
Effect: You gain a bonus to saving throws equal to your Strength modifier. Temporary bonuses to Strength (such as Rage or Bull's Strength do not modify this bonus.

Looks tasty. Do you get debuffed if someone casts imbue with spell ability on you or you achieve level 4 in ranger/paladin/bloodrager?

Hm. Not quite sure about that one. But mainly due to putting a stat most martials will be focusing on. Also not quite sure BAB is a good measure here, for those who are stuck on 3/4 BAB and not tossing spells.

That feat was sent to the wood chipper with the most recent errata.

Prerequisites: Cha 13, Knowledge (religion) 5 ranks.
Benefit: Once per day as an immediate action before rolling a saving throw, you can add your Charisma modifier on that saving throw. As usual, this does not stack if you already apply your Charisma modifier to that saving throw. If you possess the charmed life class feature, you can instead apply Divine Protection’s bonus after rolling the saving throw but before the result is revealed.

But it's nowhere near as SAD-inducing as Divine Protection was for Oracles. Of all the people who needed it, divine casters needed it least. Seriously, divine casters generally have the best saves out of any classes. Usually strong Fort and Will, as well as a usually strong WIS.

I suppose the closest equivalent would look kinda like this:

Scare the GM
Prerequisites: Str 13, Intimidate 5 ranks, cannot cast spells.
Benefit: You gain a bonus equal to your Strength modifier to all saves. If you later become able to cast spells, you lose the benefit of this feat but may replace it with Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, or Great Fortitude.

I just think this is a bit broken, kinda like Divine Protection on a Charisma caster. How could this be made fair?

By leaving it as is. [sarcasm]Being almost guaranteed to be denied the only time in the spotlight you can get as a standard action is so much fun.[/sarcasm]

I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Divine Protection got errata'd to oblivion and now everyone can take it to get a really minor once-per-day benefit.
