Should a Gnome Pyrokinetic benefit from the alternate racial trait 'Pyromaniac'?

Pyromaniac:

Pyromaniac: Gnomes with this racial trait are treated as one level higher when casting spells with the fire descriptor, using granted powers of the Fire domain, using the bloodline powers of the fire elemental bloodline or the revelations of the oracle's flame mystery, and determining the damage of alchemist bombs that deal fire damage (this ability does not give gnomes early access to level-based powers; it only affects the powers they could use without this ability). Gnomes with Charisma scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—dancing lights, flare, prestidigitation, produce flame. The caster level for these effects is equal to the gnome's level; the DCs are Charisma-based. This racial trait replaces gnome magic and illusion resistance.

It's obvious that this racial trait means to indicate that a substantial amount of gnomes have a predilection for playing with fire. This is further implied by the fact that one of the four Racial Subtypes for gnomes is the "Lava Gnome."

While I know this isn't the most important rules question, I think it would be useful information. If this isn't FAQ-able, can various GMs post their suggestions for houseruling it?

Haven't actually read the Pyrokinetic, as I haven't been keeping up with it, but it's pretty clear as to what it does.

Without errata, no, they don't benefit from it, except when casting spells with the fire descriptor, if they even cast spells.

RAW they don't. To me, they should. The various thematic racial traits that have been published since they came out with oread, sylph et al to my knowledge have not been updated to keep up with the stuff that gets released every year. Rather silly, but there you have it.

It'd be nice to get a FAQ for these new cases. The intent would seem to be yes, and that should be enough for everywhere except PFS.

It'd be nice for the elemental races to get something.

Since Pyromaniac gnomes "are treated as one level higher when casting spells with the fire descriptor, using granted powers of the Fire domain, using the bloodline powers of the fire elemental bloodline or the revelations of the oracle's flame mystery, and determining the damage of alchemist bombs that deal fire damage," I'd say it should apply to the fire wild talents, especially since they are treated as if spells in most ways.

"A wild talent always has the elemental descriptor or descriptors (aether, air, earth, fire, or water) matching its Element entry."

Also: "Every wild talent has an effective spell level. A kineticist can always select 1st-level wild talents, but she can select a wild talent of a higher level only if her kineticist level is at least double the wild talent’s effective spell level. Kinetic blast and defense wild talents are always considered to have an effective spell level equal to 1/2 the kineticist’s class level (to a maximum effective spell level of 9th at kineticist level 18th)."

In my games it (and abilities like it) will apply.

If it counts for bombs it should count for these.

Seems pretty obvious. Bombs aren't spells. Arguing it has to be spells when one of the examples listed aren't even spells is moot. And silly. Moot and silly.

Moolly.

Slooty?

I was going to go for "silt" but that's already a thing and rendered the whole thing moolly
