What do I pick! He said that I could make one up or pick a pre existing one.

I'm a magus of 3rd lvl using a homebrew unarmed archatype along with hex crafter.

Wish list? Worth how much? I'd personally go for a Ring of Win (see below), but that's assuming infinite (or really high) money.

Lets you cast any 8th level spell or lower, anytime, with a DC of 23. Also lets you give +5 inherent bonuses to stats or undo stuff or generally mess up reality. And gives you a constant Time Stop effect, for good measure.

To the OP: as you are a magus, i suggest asking for a Spellstoring Magic Weapon.

Your WBL at level 3 would be around 3,000. That doesn't leave a whole lot of options. Most of your best options are basic items.

This is totally a wish list item. Both in the regular sense, and in the sense that you get a list of wishes, then you wish, then all your dreams come true.

He said that it didn't have to match up with my level it. Just can't be outlandishly powerful, he also says he would prefer it be an effect item rather than a stat increase.

Go to LFGS. Pick up Ultimate Equipment. Return Home. Spend weekend flipping through UE, making a list like you did as a kid with the christmas catalogs. Give list to your GM. Wait for XMas morning and see what he gives you!

(I have to admit, the Hat of Disguise is really handy. We've got a couple in our PFS group, and it's made some parts of some scenerios easy to complete!)

Uh, if you can pick multiple items, try doing this. Get a Carpet of Flying and put a Portable Hole on it. Maybe add a Decanter of Endless Water and some sort of endless heating source. Congratz, you get a freely refillable flying hot tub.

I think a pair of +1 Brawling Bracers of Armor is reasonable and good for you.

Alternatively some Horacalcum Cestus!

I tried to stick to Greater Minor category (4000-6000 gp) which is more than you should have but it is a "wishlist" item.

Brawling doesn't work on Bracers of Armor. You need light armor. It's a shame, too, because otherwise, Monks could have good things.

See if you can use this chance to ask for a Scaling Item without the GM taking it out of your WBL. While not that powerful, most scaling items offer pretty nifty uses that are wonderful for a character if they don't have the GM artificially taking it out of their treasure share.

One fun thing here is to try to get some of the more 'fun' properties. Right now I'd love to have glammered armour (so I can wear my best even in battle) and a transformative greataxe (oh, so you're large and resistant to slashing? Meet my good friend Lucy, the Lucerne Hammer!).
