You get one d20 reroll per session if you have the Pathfinder RPG Player Character Folio on the table in front of you, or if you are wearing one of the relevant Pathfinder t-shirts. The list of which t-shirts qualify, and the full rules for using that reroll, are in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play. It's not a 'boon' as such, in the way that word is normally used in PFS play.
For the boons related to Pathfinder Tales novels, see the 'Pathfinder Tales' sidebar on the Additional Resources page. The rules for using them should be included in the chronicle download on that page - basically you get the GM to sign-off that you have the novel, and get a small bonus as a result. I must admit that I rarely see these used; I haven't bothered to follow up getting chronicles sorted for the Tales I own, and I can't remember anyone asking me to sign a Tales chronicle off at a table I've been GMing (nearly 100 sessions).

I've signed one, once, but the issue is not some much the getting the chronicle signed, but the requirement to tote a stack of novels around to use the chronicles.

You don't need a stack of novels to be hauled around. You download the chronicle, show the book to the GM who then signs it.
The boons are all one use items of fairly weak power, so it's not a big deal. I own most of the Pathfinder novels and have yet to bother with a single one.

The newer book boons (the ones with four books to a sheet) have an option for permanency and some of them are definitely worthwhile. Also, a couple of the sheets have access to items which could be useful to a player.
(That said, there are relatively few boons/item that are worthwhile, IMO, over the course of the book boons)Keirine, Human Rogue |
There's one guy in my area who comes prepared with a stack of the book boons every time he creates a new character. I've signed off on them at least a dozen times, and he's got every book for which there is a boon... it's not so bad when he shows up early, and when my PFS stamp finally gets here, it'll be even easier...

Heh. I had brought a Pathfinder Tales novel to a convention, and asked a table GM there to sign off on a pile of chronicles for the boon for me. I only had 12 PCs at the time (I have 36 or so now), and he signed one and told me to photocopy it.
Might have been more than one novel, and more than one of the boon chronicles. (innocent)

Queen of Thorns, while on it's own an enjoyable read, also has a really good Tales chronicle. Getting a choice between a boon that can heal damage as an immediate action and a boon that can give haste once for a couple of rounds is pretty cool. Additionally, it has some demonbane arrows and some tangle arrows (predictably enough, arrow versions of tangle bolts) to boot.

I used the haste benefit at the start of a chase. It was quite handy.

Okay, I am looking at the novels now. I am Selecting pathfinder novels that include a chronicle and state Authorized for PFS. I know chronicle sheets have to be printed; that's a given.
Rather than carrying the books everywhere, can't I just show the Personalized water mark and the full book page numbers of the PDF's own on my Laptop?
That is how I have all my pathfinder books audited. I open all the Single file, Lite PDFs for each volume and let the D.M. take notes if needed. My laptop is small enough to use at the table and large enough that I am not going to pass it around like a flimsy I-pad or something.

Here's a link to the Additional Resources page, which is also accessible from the main Pathfinder Society page near the top right corner. The additional Resources page lists all of the books that allow Pathfinder Society material as well as links along the right-hand side that begin pdf downloads of any of the Chronicle sheets for the novels and sanctioned modules.

I actually like how at first glance the healing boon looks more powerful, but I've used the haste option more, it seems more useful in more situations.
At any rate, even the chronicle sheets that aren't as stellar as the QoT one are still pretty cool. Called to Darkness has some very flavorful boons that have been more useful than I would have thought they would be, and gives access to some sweet items as well. A number of the chronicles have unique items on them that are only available on that sheet, featuring items that showed up in the book. Prince of Wolves gives access to a very cool, very flavorful weapon that I had forgotten about until just now that my rogue that is sitting on a mountain of gold will probably pick up now.
Of course, I feel like I should recommend reading books that look interesting to you and checking out the sheet afterwards and being surprised rather than just cherry-picking boons and buying the books for the boons. However, it's your call.

the list has two for Pathfinder online; I downloaded both of them as I am subscribe to PFO and have been playing for quite some time.
One of the two has an adventure attached, SO I assume that one must be played to get the benefit.
the other, has no adventure only chronicle sheets with boons. How do I get that?

The only chronicles generally available for Thornkeep and Emerald Spire are from playing though those adventures (supplements that can be bought separately). I don't know what adventure you mean by 'one of the two has an adventure attached'.
The reason you were pointed to the Additional Resources page is for the chronicles related to Pathfinder Tales novels, which are slightly further up that page: the section marked 'Pathfinder Tales' which starts with 'Blood of the City' and has a dozen or so books listed.

The Emerald Spire download has a 2 page intro in how to use the chronicle sheets just like for APs and Modules. It's not an adventure in itself.
Both Thornkeep and Emerald Spire are modules that you can buy and download. They were rewards for the Kickstarters Goblinworks ran to get initial funding for Pathfinder Online.

chad hale 637 wrote:For the novels? I'm not sure what the purpose would be; it wouldn't be a long list, after all.So, can we build an Excel sheet with: Book title, boons, items?
Seems to be a logical step to me.
Actually, I have a Word doc where I list all the book boons, but I try to put all of them on each of my PCs (and I try to use one or more each game). I'll customize the page for each PCs choices, add on the other boons they pick up, and mark it which CR # each - that way I can glance at the "boon sheet" for that PC in the middle of a game and know if the PC has a boon that he can use. For example, I can glance down and see that this PC has a one time +4 on CMD...something that has helped two of my PCs avoid Black Tenticles...

Related question while we're already asking things here:
With the newer 4 books per chronicle format, is the intention for all four books to be applied to the same character? Would splitting them up eliminate the chance to get Prolific Reader?
You can split the one-time-use boons between four different characters (lets you use the boons when they're most appropriate and enjoyable), but the Prolific Reader boon goes on one of them.

For Pathfinder Tales Vol 4 and Pathfinder Tales Vol 5, do you get to apply one to a core character and one to a normal character?
On a related note, I don't recall seeing an answer to this question: for the GM Star Reward Boon do you get one for a core character and one for a normal character? I have been treating it as though I only get to apply it to one character (plus 1 character for each 50 GM credits over 150 if you have 5 stars).
If the answer is that you only get to apply one GM Star Reward chronicle total and not one per campaign, how does The Spells Know All Secrets work? Typically options that are unlocked for all of your characters via chronicle sheets only apply to all of your characters in either the core campaign or the normal campaign (depending on where it was earned). Is that still the case, or would you need to have 200 GM credits and 5 stars to apply that boon to both a core character and a normal character in order for all of your characters to get spell access via The Spells Know All Secrets?
