The first shell is deflected by it's force field but the second makes it's way through to strike the creature but the shell bounces off it's body doing no damage.

Aldegund readies his multi-melta aims carefully to the crystal and hopes it's enough to punch through the protection field and break it

The melta blast is unable to penetrate it's field.

Papa:
Can I use my Telekinesis to deactivate one of the fields or is it a power of some sort? Once you let me know, I will post my action.

No way to deactivate them that you can see. This alien technology is far to advanced.

Draex rushes in with murder on his mind the one thing the quench the fire burning in his mind.

Draex rushes in to meet this boss foe. Axes slicing through the air with their tortuous screams looking to be muted by biting into flesh and bone. Feining one attack to set up for the follow-up three piece.

Taloc fires a Doombolt at one of the henchmen.

Taloc it's either Ossiskar or the C'Tan.

Draex swings like a wild animal at the god like machine creature and lands one blow!

His blow strikes home, striking sparks and shards of Necrodermis from the C’tan Shard’s living metal hide. It pauses for a fleeting moment and howls, not in pain, but more in anger or indignation. It turns its attention away from your group momentarily and glides toward Osiskor. The Cryptek shouts something unintelligible at the C’tan Shard and frantically manipulates the buttons and dials on the device it holds in its hands.

Slowly, as if with extreme force of will, the C’tan Shard turns back to you. Before it resumes its task, you notice that its motions are jerky, its hands are twitching, and its typically implacable face is contorted in a grimace of seething, malevolent rage. Osiskor shouts again, the C’tan Shard composes itself and presses its attack.

The C'Tan then.

c'tan protection: 1d100 ⇒ 3 vs 50
The blast bounces off the C'tan shield.

Top of the round Ossiskar is to busy trying to control this thing to do anything else.

The C'tan points it's hand at Draex and lets loose another deathly green ray.

Menstras activates his displacer field before drawing and activating his power sword.

Aldegund it's a small object and would be called shot so will be a -40 to hit that sucker directly. Would you rather shoot at the C'tan since you weren't aware of that before rolling.

haywire: 1d10 ⇒ 6
Major Disruption: All actions utilizing technology, including fi ring Ranged weapons without the Primitive Quality, Tech-Use Tests, and any physical actions attempted while wearing power armour or employing cybernetics suffer a –20 penalty. The Base Movement of anyone in power armour is reduced by 3. Melee weapons with technological components function as a Primitive weapon of the analogous type.

Anyone that is in melee with the C'tan near Draex is affected by this when he shot it.

Draex continues to strike at the boss feeling the degrees of difficulty increase with his attacks. Moving slower then normal he still presses the attack

Can I shoot at the arm that holds the device, maybe then the blast radius will also hit the device?

Also firing into melee -10. Hence the dodge for blast.

ossiskar tech use: 1d100 ⇒ 97
ctan willpower: 1d100 ⇒ 8

Once more the C’tan Shard turns on Osiskor and bellows in rage. Again, the Cryptek frantically manipulates his binding mechanism, but this time something has gone dreadfully wrong. The device explodes in Osiskor’s face in a shower of sparks, crackling energy, and green flames as if it were a Photon Flash Grenade.

The Cryptek howls in pain and despair and clutches his face as the charred remains of his device rain down around him. The C’tan Shard, now free from the binding mechanism, raises its arms as if in victory and howls, the power and rage in its otherworldly voice shattering the tesla flux emitters directly around it and sending gouts of flame and crackling energy shooting roiling about the chamber. In a flurry of robes and static discharges, it rushes Osiskor.

The Cryptek raises his ruined, smoking, sparking face and opens his arms as if to embrace the oncoming Shard. As you watch amazed, the C’tan shard tears Osiskor limb from limb as if he were no more than a child’s toy, his body coming apart in a shower of living metal, bits of arcane machinery, and mysterious black fluids. The C’tan Shard tosses some of the pieces of Osiskor’s dismembered form to the ground and consumes others in a way that turns even your hardened stomachs. As quickly as it started, the gruesome scene comes to an end. The C’tan Shard turns toward you, its torso and arms dripping with Osiskor’s life’s blood and still clutching one of the Cryptek’s arms like a club, it screams in rage and comes for you once more!

Believe Taloc still goes then it's top of round again!

Taloc fires another Doombolt at the C'tan.

Willpower 1d100 ⇒ 67

Damage 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 (Pen 8)

The bolt bounces off the C'tan's hard skin (not enough damage).

Before the C'tan makes another attack a human pops through the dimensional hole and yells down to your group.

"My Lords! Lets go we don't have much time until this place blows!" and then he goes back through the portal.

Round 3!
The C'tan creature swings down at Draes with it's claws!
attack: 1d100 ⇒ 77
Miss!
c'tan toughness: 1d100 ⇒ 19
You see some of the wounds Draex caused to the creature heal.

It's all your actions.

Taloc spreads his wings and flies towards the dimensional hole.

"It is time to go", he states flatly as he heads towards salvation from the blast that will devastate this area and hopefully take this foul creature with it.

Dethraven leaps through the portal, his jetpack flaring to life.

1d100 ⇒ 20 vs will power to disengage from combat

Draex blinks twice as he is able to make a sensible decision to disengage from combat and heads towards the portal.

Aldeguns does not wait to see what happens, and starts a tactical retreat, shooting if necessary to buy himself more time.

Menstras lingers until the others have escaped before launching himself through the portal.

Before you all make it out through the portal the timer goes off and the explosives detonate and you see a machine god die!

With a last scream of indignant dismay, the light goes out of the C’tan Shard’s eyes and it crumples like a deflating bladder. You have just enough time to draw a shuddering breath and wipe the blood and sweat from your eyes before a massive explosion rocks the chamber. One whole side of the ziggurat dissolves in a gout of fire and stone and the entire structure lists drunkenly, throwing you to your knees.

This explosion is followed quickly by another, and another, as the charges you set start their chain reaction. The room is now constantly shaking, as if in the grips of an earthquake. The tesla flux emitters on the ground explode one by one, releasing a rippling storm of writhing green energy, and huge chunks of stone and spitting tesla emitters fall from the chamber’s ceiling like deadly rain. The time has come for you to leave, and quickly, before you are entombed here in the bowels of this world.

Please make dodge checks.

Sorry guys work been crazy and going on vacation soon so posts been slow.

impact damage: 2d10 + 5 ⇒ (1, 2) + 5 = 8
The debris falling hits some of you but your able to maneuver enough not to take any serious damage but know if you stick around your surely to be buried here!

You make your way out of the tomb following the human. Suddenly, a brilliant flash, brighter than a star, blinds you and an explosive percussion wave of sound knocks you to your knees. As you straighten, hands shielding your eyes and helmet autosenses straining to compensate, you see a wall of light rising behind the mountains, as solid as a wall. Then the roiling clouds of dust and sand boil over the intervening mountains and sweep across the plains.

The human grins as he picks himself up.
"You did good Lords. The Many-eyed Oracle will be pleased to see you all still breathing."

Everyone gets 500xp, 2 Infamy, 1 Corruption.

"Who, or what, is this Oracle?"

Taloc begins to surreptitiously Mind Probe the human.

Test - Willpower -20 1d100 ⇒ 38

Draex walks over to the humans with the look of murder in his eyes.... for there is no reason for which he needs to make the blood flow... and they knew it all to well... hovering over them like a blood covered mountain he thanks them for creating the portal for their escape by Cutting a gash in His hand with blood extractor he flicks his super oxygenated blood on them and bangs one fist against his chest. Draex turns and walks away without a word ...

willpower test: 1d100 ⇒ 2
Your unable to pluck anything from the humans mind. His will is just to strong.

He looks up to Deathraven.
"She is our leader. You will meet her soon the ship is not far from here. Come come."

He continues to lead you along, if you follow.

"Lead the way. What planet is this human?"

Taloc will follow the power of Chaos at his fingertips.

The human leads you to a gun ship with a few other's waiting for him there. In the distance you see the tomb exploding and crumbling and it's quite a beautiful sight. You look to the skies and can see a Frigate class vessel in orbit and can only assume that is where this gunship will be taking you.

The ship is clearly corrupt and has influences from all the dark gods. There are a LOT of servants aboard the ship many with heavy mutations. The human who took you here leads you to a smoky room where there are places you can sit if you wish and you wait. The wait isn't long before she enters.

Her appearance is a mystery, as she wears body-shrouding robes and a
concealing hood and veil. This is probably to hide terrible
mutations, though you can't confirm it. Her voice and inflections fluctuate regularly as she speaks, suggesting that her form might be changing constantly beneath her clothing.

"Welcome" she says in a low voice "I've been awaiting your arrival."

Sorry missed the question.

Before leaving the planet the human tells you you are on Saint Annard’s Penance. No planet any of you have ever heard of.

"Who are you? Why have you been waiting for us?

"You can reveal yourself. I do not trust someone that hides their appearance like that"

If you have Psyiscience you may make a normal roll.

"I am the Many-Eyed Oracle of Chaos and my form is hidden for your safety. Many years ago I foresaw your arrival to this place at this time. I did not know of this planet until it ripped it's way into the Screaming Vortex when my vision was revealed. You are all very important to Chaos."

"The vision was granted to me to lead you to a hive world, filled with fools who are devoted to the Imperium and its Corpse-Emperor, that is fated to meet with a disaster. Clearly, the dark gods have ordained this disaster and the chaos to follow. It is our task to fully exploit this blessing, so that the death and destruction serve their best possible purpose, an offering to the Ruinous Powers."

You hear her wheeze what could only be a slight chuckle.

"What of Abbadon? Does he remain upon this world the Necrons brought forth?"

The Many-Eyed Oracle robes move awkwardly at the name of Abaddon.

"The Warmaster is not in the vortex but far away in the Eye probably scheming for his next crusade."

"What world would you lead us to? And how are we to ensure the rituals you desire?"

"How long has it been since our journey into the void and what is the fate of Magnus who sent us there?

We are Astartes, who are you to dictate that we should do this and not join the Warmaster?

Our next move should be to assist with preparations to conquer Terra itself and end the tyranny of the God Emperor".

Menstras rests his unpowered claw on Aldegund's shoulder guard.

Group Comms:

"I agree that we must return. We are, however, far removed with no means to make a journey to the Eye. Let us consolidate our strength here so that our presence will bolster Abaddon's forces once more.
Unless you harbor any objections to slaughtering these Imperial lambs."

Group Comms
"I don't trust it... I have no problems taking over that world, as we might find a transport hopefully at some point at least a frigate famn it"

"My dear Astartes you are far removed from where and when you once were. I can smell your age on your aura and taste your hatred. You are powerful warriors indeed and that is why the gods have led me to you. Would you go against their will?"

She turns her head side to side as if she was looking at each of you even though you still can't see her face. It feels like she is looking deep into your soul as she turns to each of you.

"There is not many options for you at this moment. The Warmaster is ages away with no way to reach him I have a way for you strike out at the Imperium. Every small piece taken away from the false god emperor is one step closer to Terra."
