End date for the playtest

Playtest Feedback

The summary says the playtest ends on Thursday, July 20th but July 20th is a Monday. Is the playtest going to end that Thursday, or on the 20th?

20th July 3015 is a Thursday. I believe we still have another 1,000 and a bit years on this playtest.

inb4 someone jokes that not even in a thousand years could Paizo make this class palatable

you think it possible? as a secondary class or an NPC class it seems awesome, but as a PC that might be tough.

Sovereign Court

As a full NPC class, alongside aristocrat, warrior, and expert, it's pretty good.

As a DM instrument for NPCs, all you need is a one level dip.

Therefore, make Dual Identity a feat.

Yeah, this playtest rather desperately needs a second phase, at least.

Sovereign Court

I don't know. I think I was able to form an opinion about this class using only one round of playtest...

It has amused me thus far that when I armchair'd out this class was bad, to see it frequently repeated to actually playtest it first before offering criticism, which, I'm glad I did, since it's even worse in practice.

It's not all bad. I actually really like the stalker after getting into it when at first look it seemed the weakest. My unchained rogue is so jealous of Up Close and Personal, Leave an Opening, Mockingbird, Perfect Vulnerability, and Sniper.

The other three specializations need serious work though.

That is sort of hte point of a second round. They issue alterations they want to test out and gather data. It can be little changes, or massive other way changes.

Depends on the data they want.

It's not like the 2nd go through is the same exact stuff just repeated. Or they'd just extend the time period.

That could happen. Look, I'm not going to point fingers here, but even if some genius ideas would come out of the playtest, there's a strong possibility that the inertia of the whole publishing process could be too great to change the course. Or the great ideas do make it, but not entirely... sigh.

Luckily, they have a millennium to get it right.

Silver Crusade

Haven't heard much from the Devs since it started. Maybe they are hard at work. Second run with some updates would be awesome.

Scarab Sages

We can hope.
