Resizing Animal Companions

Advice

A friend of mine is a Paladin archer who was allowed a T-Rex mount. I know, terrifying. Anyway, he wants to be able to use it while in dungeons and other locations, more like an animal companion instead of a mount, and was wondering if there is an item that can resize animals at command/wearing. Is there such a thing? I want to know, too, because I want a mad dog barbarian with one lol

Reduce Animal spell

Try getting a custom made item for it. Or if that's not possible, a wand.

Sovereign Court

Just cast carry companion. It's a 2nd level paladin spell.

I like the spell, and I'll bring it up to him. But he's wanting to still use his T-Rex as an animal companion while not riding it in dungeons.

@Quatar: Thanks for the info. I already told him he'd prolly have to get a DM item for it, prolly a collar or something, I was just wondering if there was already an item made to do that. Thank you, though.

The AC can pick up the feat Narrow Frame to negate much of the issues with being in dungeons built for medium sized folk.

Scarab Sages

A wand of Reduce Animal will do the job. A DC20 UMD isn't that high if you've put ranks in it.

EDIT: Doh, completely missed Quatar's post.

Yoy know you can choose, at level 7 to NOT let it grow in size right ?

The bonus stats are usually a bit lower than their normal progression if you choose that.

And he won't be able to use it as a mount at all if Mr Rex stays as medium

undersized mount...
