Looking for a game

Gamer Connection

Hey, I'm trying to find a group in San Antonio, TX. Not necessarily Society play. I just started looking into Society games and it seems really restrictive. So just curious if I could find a group that just plays good 'ol Pathfinder.

I can hook you up with PFS play in San Antonio and through the group you can find home games as well. Shoot me a PM I can send you the Contact info.

Also PFS is no more restrictive then any game I played with a GM or ran as a GM, in fact it is much less so then any game I have ever been in or ran.

Really? I read through the guidelines PDF was not getting the "loose and free" vibe at all.

In What way? What are you looking for?

For example most games I run or play in are Human Centric and don't allow any race outside the Core book, while PFS allows you to play kitsune, nagaji, tengu, and wayang and a bunch of other races through Boons you get at conventions.

Many GMs restrict classes outside the Core book while in PFS you can play all the classes, though there are some archetypes and prestige classes that are not allowed due to not fitting in the campaign or have power issues. But in general most stuff is actually allowed in PFS.

The biggest restrictions in PFS actually fall on the GMs who are limited in what they can change in the scenarios and modules that are run.

Everything that is legal and not legal in PFS can be found in the guide and Additional Resources found here.

I guess I've just gotten very used to everything on d20pfsrd.com being free game. Thanks for the perspective. :)
