I'm toying around with short term "don't get attached to your character" ideas and I have two I'm rather tempted towards so I thought I'd post them here and get some feedback on them from the community. If you got presented with these at the start in a "This is the campaign" sense would you be intrested in playing one/both of them. Neither's expected to go for more than a few sessions just a relaxing filler have fun and then bid your character farewell because they probably wont make it out alive.
Idea 1
A mythic, immortal wizard has gotten bored and nabbed a couple of commoners (the party) and a few first level adventurers, enslaved them and linked them together. The adventurers are under the control of the party and to get their freedom the party has to guide their adventurer around a mansion and its grounds to find a way out. If the adventurer dies, is transformed or escapes the party member is killed. Basically it'd be pretty much a normal dungeon crawl but instead of Algor the mage magnificent you'd be Bob the swineheard guiding this magic fellow around and having to put up with DM interjected comments of "Really you want me to fill this vase with cistern water and carry it around, why?" or the like depending on the choices they make.
Idea 2
A sadistic wizard has captured a group of low level adventurers and placed them in a dungeon filled with traps and various creatures. Their goal again escape. The catch each time they die (to a monster, trap or sheer stupidity) they are brought back to life in the dungeon they woke up in transformed a bit more into one of his minions. They'll get 8 deaths (feet, legs, body, arms, hands, head, personality i.e. death) before they're fully transformed and then the player gets to control the new minion sending them after the former party members for a 9th and final death. Each person gets to choose the creature they'll be transformed into on a lvl range of 1-3 or 1-2 not sure if a party of 1st level adventurers could take on a CR3 critter.
