Since many gamers dont use the Character Token Card as they either bought tthe Pathfinder Iconic heroes miniatures or they are using self-created standups as token, I am interested in a complete Character Token Card set for a new idea of mine.
Does anybody would like to part with all their Character Token Cards as he/she doesnt need them? I will pay for shipping and for the cards as well!
Or I could sent you some German suprise instead... No, not sausages ;-)!

I will give you all of these if you can find a way to get me good, authentic bratwurst.
Well, that is no problem.
Bratwurst is also available in tins...
Are you satisfied with that?
In Nuremberg/Germany, there is a special store where you may buy these...
Should I get you a picture?
Here is the recipe and history of the Nuremberg style Bratwurst

You have to remember MyFly, we wouldn't have the tokens anymore so it's going to be more expensive than DriveThru.
I just want better bratwurst than the clearlynotasauthenticanddelicious frozen stuff you buy here in the US. I used to have Polish and German markets I could go to to get the good stuff. Now they've closed and I'm relegated to selling off game parts to get my fix!!!

Fair card price according to DriveThruCards is 50cent per card. $1.50 is triple that much
Complaining about $1,50 per card while selling 5x Blessing of Zogmugot for 65,99EUR on ebay...well, this is ridiculous.
Especially when the token cards were part of a product that was paid for and the Blessings came for FREE.Greyhawke115 |
I am getting used to having Calthaer's daily affirmations around. :)
As to the tokens, I believe the images for the iconic characters in RotR, S&S and WotR are all in the community use packages available for free, as is the token card template. Some quick photoshop work and card stock and you can make tokens for all of these. This leaves you only needing tokens for the class decks for the characters not represented in the community use packages.
As far as value, its all relative. Drive thru has a fixed fee because of (relatively) unlimited stock and no desire to retain it. Price is determined by production cost and expected profit. On the other hand when you want someone to part with their personal cards of which they have a limited or even single item of supply, then you are working on fair market value. I weigh the "cost" of my OCD at not having a complete set versus the value to me of obtaining the money. You weigh the desire of getting the tokens you want versus the value of keeping the money.
With that consideration, $1.50 per card sounds like a bargain to me, as I would not part with mine for any less than it would cost me to replace the entire set. I also realize that its not likely someone would buy the cards for that amount, as they could just purchase their own set to get the cards they want and a whole lot more. Generally speaking, boardgamers tend to be completionist, so I think its going to be difficult to find what you are looking for at the price you want, but I wish you luck.

What is Whiskers? A chocolate bar? But that is snickers...
Well, first I have to get hands on a complete Token set, then let me have some time and finally I will present the results here...
It is a secret, super special and ultra cool idea... ;-))) simply unique!
I would like to be first, so I cannot share this idea yet.

I for one am going to ask the question no one has, but everyone has to be wondering: What exactly is this new idea of yours? I'm curious, like a cat. That is why my friends call me "Whiskers."
Wait... with a name like Hawkmoon, you should be into Moorcock, not Brust.
Or I'm "reading" too much into it.

Myfly I'm willing to bet that no one is gunna give them away for free, but I'm willing to sell mine as I have stated. If your interested I'll even lower the price to $1 a piece.
How much do you bet?
Lets see what gonna happen...Maybe I get Mike's character token set signed ;-) ???
Mike really doesnt need ALL character token cards as he got the REAL iconic heroes in persona! It seems like they all live in the Seattle area...

The only problem is they don't stand still while playing the game. And last time it was a 6-player session, they tokens broke the table.

I'll bet you don't get Mike's character tokens ... nor get them signed.

... Which table are you refering to???
Mike's table in his dungeon vault is build out of pure STONE. You could put a big FAT Goblin on this table and it wont break. Therefore it easily withstands the weight of six iconic heroes.Scroll down to the interview with Jerry Holkins (see link below) and you will see Mike's precious stone-built table. Designing both PACG and Apocrypha, he was anticipating the weight of a 6-player iconic heroes game. He is well prepared. Are you? May be not, as you are keeping your Character Token Cards and dont donate them to me! ;-)
See for yourself here in this movie - scroll down:
Here's how memory fragments work, co-starring writer Jerry Holkins.
Are you asking Mike for a STRESS-TEST of his stone table in his vault with a 6-player iconic heroes game?
This would really be a FUN picture of a PACG game.
This would be PATHFINDER history in the making!!!
