I need a good, really good adventure module for mid-high levels

Advice

My party has just finished playing ROTRL and now we want to play a shorter module. (loved 1st and second modules)

I need to recommend a module (or adventure) for lvl 9-12 approximately.

The idea is not as linear as ROTRL can be sandbox or not, but definitely does not have to rely solely on combat.

Thanks for your advice!

Expedition to the Demonweb pits, it's 3.5 but well with some minimum tweaks should make a decent pathfinder adventure for level 9-12.

Convert "Death's Ride" from BECMI. Make sure the monsters are properly BECMI levels of nasty. When I ran it the girst character death occurred halfway through the first round of combat and things were equally fun until the very end. Nightwings, druj and death leeches FTW.
It was glorious.

It's pretty much only combat, however.

Tks for the feedback people!

Cult of the Ebon Destroyers is right in that level range and quite good as well.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Harrowing, without a doubt is what you are looking for! Combat, social encounters, etc. Pathfinder's version of Alice in Wonderland, one of the most fun adventures you will ever play.

I read excellent reviews of the harrowing, but it raises questions. There is way too bizarre? Maintains the spirit of Pathfinder or D & D in the atmosphere?

Greetings!

It keeps a very good Pathfinder atmosphere, as it is all about Varisian culture. Each encounter is tied to a Harrow Card. The most "bizarre" point of the module would be each harrow card can be played during its keyed encounter for a short term buff, etc.

Yeah any official PFRPG adventure isn't going to get all that bizzare. Usually they have an optional or new rule, to give the adventure some flavor or distinguish it from every other adventure. It normally isn't even required for the adventure itself.
