Need Heavy Roleplay Scenario Recommendations ala Masks of the Living God.

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Greetings, Pathfinders.

I'm looking for a few Pathfinder Society scenario suggestions that involve some heavy roleplaying ala Masks of the Living God which involves the heroes infiltrating the Church of Razmir. I'm looking for heavy roleplaying to give the PCs a change of pace after a particularly harrowing dungeon session.

I'm asking for scenario suggestions, because I need short scenarios that I can use to fill gaps between the modules of my campaign. I am not familiar with all of the plots for the various scenarios, so I was hoping a few folks out there might have some suggestions.

Feel free to make suggestions that are third party or non-PFS. I'm just using that as a baseline.

Thanks for reading.

Hangman's Noose is one of my favorite paizo modules for 3.5 - it currently seems to be on sale for $2 - so how can you possibly go wrong? :)

It would take some work to fit it into an ongoing campaign (it's for 1st level PCs) but I think it would provide an excellent, if creepy change of pace. There's a lot of NPCs to interact with and understand - combat is not the optimal solution to the module's problem.

The backstory would need to be tweaked and, if your party is higher level, the challenges would need to be toughened a bit. It's a great, different-from-the-normal module though.

Did I mention it's $2? :o

Sounds like just the sort of module that I'm looking for, Steve. Thanks for the suggestion!

Some heavy RP PFS Scenarios (designed to play in 4-5 hours) include:

Various Level Ranges
Levels: 1-5
3-01 The Frostfur Captives (Goblin escort quest, lots of goblin RPing)
4-11 The Disappeared (more infiltration, less rp, but very not dungeon crawl)
5-11 The Library of the Lion (another infiltration, but with books!)
5-21 The Merchant's Wake (attend a funeral to influence prominent guests)
5-22 Scars of the Third Crusade (a who-done it)
6-15 The Overflow Archives (fairy tale gone wrong in a library, fairly combat heavy, but also very whimsical- in a very good way)

Levels 3-7
4-09 The Blakros Matrimony (Attend a wedding and try to gain influence with prominent guests)

Levels 5-9
3-10 The Immortal Conundrum
5-03 The Hellknight's Feast (a follow up to The Blakros Matrimony, attend a dinner party to influence prominent people)

Levels 7-11
3-17 Red Harvest

Perfect! Thank you for the suggestions, Kigvan! Just what I needed!

If you don't mind converting from 2e, I would suggest the various "Children of the Night" Ravenloft books (The Created (Ghosts, Golems, Vampires, Werebeasts) as they are the closest equivalents I can think of that I have any familiarity with. Each book has 13 NPCs of the corresponding type and a short adventure featuring that NPC. Some of them are really short and could use some GM elaboration, but most of them have a fair amount of RP to them. You can get pdfs of most of them on rpgnow drivethrourpg or dndclassics.com

Modules that I've ran that include a fair amount of RP include the espionage/sabotage heavy Tower of the Last Baron (LB 1, also has a sequel LB 2 but I don't recall that one has quite as much RP potential) and the high society investigation Gallery of Evil

An adventure path volume that strikes me as fairly RP heavy would be the Sixfold Trial (Council of Thieves), since you're enacting a (quite deadly) play.
