Cockatrice Strike is a full round action that can only be used against a foe that is already under another status condition, only works on a critical hit, and then only works if they fail a low dc save against most creatures strongest save.
Using Butterfly sting to set up the crit is nice, but you still have to hit (difficult with your crappy STR), they still need to be under another status condition, and they still need to fail the save.
You would be better off full attacking than trying to petrify your foe, and if the foe is petrified, their gear is too, which will affect your loot.
This is a trap.
