Okay... I was good and went through a lot of FAQs, etc. and did not see an answer to this question. Not directly anyway. I have been on the internet a very, very, very long time (since before it went public), so I am not a rookie.
A while back my all time favorite email service went down and out for the count for good. Namely ICQ Mail (@icqmail.com) is no longer available. Having been on the internet so long, I have hundreds of accounts, all linked to that email addy. I have been away from paizo.com for a long time but recently came back. I tried to change my email address and got the message that I needed to submit my birthday to make the change.
I looked and looked and looked and could not find anyplace under My Account to enter my birthday. Nor was there such a place for me to enter it when I tried to change my email address. Thinking this was some random error I tried several times to replicate this error and it happened each and every time.
Now from I can gather from your FAQs, this may be related to your discontinued support for TSL/SSL and/or the fact that I use Internet Explorer 11. Is there anyway that I can fix this this? Would using a different browser help? If so, which browser, and PLEASE don't say Chrome (or some flavor thereof) as I just can't stand that browser.
Is this something that Customer Service could do over the phone if I called them? Or would I have to call Technical Support or some other service? If so, what number can I call? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely yours...

I'm not Paizo, but this intrigued me. I don't get this message if I try and change the email address associated with my account. Since you actually _have_ access to your account, asking you to add a birthday to allow you to change the email address adds absolutely no security. I can also not find anywhere under the account settings to enter a birthday.
I suggest you do phone customer services with this. It's better accomplished over a different medium, and they will be able to advise if this behaviour is expected, or if it is a sign of a compromised account at either end.

Hello there Malcar,
Thanks for letting us know about this! I believe this is an issue that the tech team has been looking at, and it seems that they should have it fixed very soon. For now, I was able to do some tinkering on my end, and I think you should be able to access your account now. Please let me know if you have any further troubles, and I can do some investigating.
Thanks!
Katina

Katina you ROCK! Thanks so much. Your tinkering allowed me to change my email address. :) Again, thank you so much. Having ICQMail go down unexpectedly like that has caused me no end of problems. I literally had over 100 accounts tied to that email address, maybe more. With many websites I have to start all over again. I *really* did not want to lose all of my downloads!
Folks like you are the reason that I like Paizo so much.
Sincerely yours...
Malcar Arcanus
PS
This should give you a good laugh... the word Paizo gets flagged as a spelling error. ;)

Hooray! I'm glad you were able to get things figured out and didn't lose any of your downloads. :) Be sure to let me know if there's anything else I can help you out with, and I'll be glad to lend a hand.
Yeah, my computer still has issues realizing that Paizo is a word sometimes. It also changes my name to Katana a lot, so I can't really complain.
