Question for anyone who has played Curse of the Crimson Throne:

Advice

If on of the PC;s has selected the Missing Child Trait, is there a point in the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP that the PC ever finds the missing child?

I am a first time DM, and the PCs are about to battle Gaedren Lamm. The book says to have him barb and insult all the PCs during the battle... I might take the opportunity to say how his Alligator found the girl especially tasty, or some such thin - unless of course - there is a point further in the story that says the PC would find his missing child.

Help?

Yes, it is quite possible. In fact, if I recall correctly, there is an opportunity to confront him as he's about to dip a child in the water to become alligator food, assuming that you want to play it that way.

Considering the type of person Gaedren Lamm is, I believe he might, if pressed, drop the child in the water so PCs would focus on saving the child from drowning/getting eaten, giving him an opportunity to escape.

Does that help any?

I'm pretty sure it's left up to you as a GM whether the missing child can be found or not. But if you want them to have been eaten by the alligator, that's perfectly fine and shouldn't interfere with anything down the road.
