I know its late, but i only got tonight

Advice

Hi guys, i have tonight to make a level 12 PC for a 4-5 session long campaign that we are going to start tomorrow! I'd love some help in some creative ideas, or logical character build path for what i have in mind. I have two ideas so far, or i guess styles i wanna try out.

-Synthesis Summoner/ fast and strong
I'm a huge Naruto universe fan, particularly the sand ninja in it. So i was thinking, since i've made and been playing a Konkuro inspired character in my current game, i can try to make a Gaara(Shukaku form, when he's half morphed out and scary as all hell). For this i was thinking Synthesis Summoner is the obvious choice for a build like this. I dont like how i would essentially have to walk around in that form or else im gimped if combat starts out of the blue. or something else

-Super Smash bros/ quick, fast, speedy melee
I play pikachu, and was thinking of making a pikachu style combat character. Like, fast and agile while being able to avoid attacks. Able to dish out a ton of melee damage, maybe shock style for flavor. Maybe a bolt or two. Magus is a pretty simple choice, or maybe a fist of forest druid/monk trip build.

Keep in mind this is starting at lvl 12, which is higher then we usually start a campaign. So theres alot of room to avoid all the nasty build up to a build like one of these, we can reach a cool combo easier. Any input would help a ton, im up all night. THANKS

I have a spicy character build (was semi-secretish but hey I like showing them off now and then) from Pathfinder Society that you might enjoy. It is a little lower level than 12 so you'll have to work on it a bit. I like to think it has a little bit of elements from both of those shows.

If you have questions just ask. I may or may not be awake still.

Elf Magus 9 (Spell Dancer/Hexcrafter)
Favored Class HP+1, 6/6 Magus Arcana, HP+2
Traits: Wayang Spellhunter + Magical Lineage Shocking Grasp
Racial Traits: Arcane Focus, Elven Magic, Elven Immunities, Keen Senses, Low-Light Vision

20 buy
STR 7
DEX 20+2 stat increase
CON 12
INT 18
WIS 7
CHA 7

Levels:

1 Feat (Weapon Finesse); Arcane pool, cantrips, spell combat, Spell Dance, Class Skills, Hex Arcana
2 Spellstrike
3 Feat (Dervish Dance); Arcana(Familiar)
4 Hex Magus(Prehensial Hair)
5 Feat (Weapon Focus); Arcane Movement
6 Hex (Flight)
7 Feat (Empower Spell); Arcana(Spell Blending: See Invisibility, Contingent Action);Dance of Avoidance, Knowledge Pool
8 Spell Recall
9 Feat: Dimensional Agility; Arcana(Hasted Assault)

Essential Spells:

1: Empowered Shocking Grasp, Reduce Person, Blend
2: Mirror Image, See Invisability, Contingent Action
3: Keen edge, Greater Magic Weapon

Essential Items:

Spell Storing Scimitar +1
Mistmail
Metamagic Rods: Elemental, Extend, Intensify, Piercing
Muleback Cords
Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess

Edit: Realized I should explain how the Dimensional Agility (the core feature of the build) works. The Spell Dance ability lets you do a swift action dimension door as a spell-like ability. This qualifies you for Dimensional Agility. Because it is a swift action you may still full-attack. Done.

Check out the DPR Summer Olympics thread if you want super smash. :D

But at level 12...you could have.

Hippo druid with 16d8 vital strike chomp (not optimized can go higher). My version was vanilla human for PFS, others use barbarian dips and tricks to really pump them up.
Blockbuster Wizard dropping around 30d6 Fireballs (one quickened for 15d6, one standard empowered/maximized 15d6).
Inspired Blade at around 100+DPR with a flipping rapier....and so on.

Heck for smash plus flexibility maybe Bloodrager is up your alley.

The above build avgs about 190 without criting when it goes to actually kill someone.

Level 12 is later than a magus's sweet spot. You could pull off some interesting tricks like taking the hexcrafter archetype, taking the hex strike feat and some other unarmed stuff and debuffing the hell out opponents, but the raw nova damage option isn't as good.

Synthesist summoner; are you required to use the unchained summoner? How to use it changes quite a bit if so.

While you can take Dimensional Agility at 9th with this build, you still can't use it until 10th, as Dimensional Agility only activates when you cast Dimension Door (which you can't do until 10th level - using a SLA is not the same as casting a spell.) So the Dimensional Agility does not stack with your swift-action DimDoor, and you would still need Dimensional Dervish to be able to full attack the same round you use DimDoor.

I have one for speedy super smash. Check out my Goblin Tank.

interesting tank builds

Tear through enemies like a little green wrecking ball!

How do you figure?

Quote:
A spell-like ability has a casting time of 1 standard action unless noted otherwise in the ability or spell description. In all other ways, a spell-like ability functions just like a spell.
Quote:
If a character class grants a spell-like ability that is not based on an actual spell, the ability's effective spell level is equal to the highest-level class spell the character can cast, and is cast at the class level the ability is gained.

That seems pretty clear: "in all other ways, a spell-like ability functions just like a spell", it even says "is cast" in the second quoted line.
