Tight pants, you say?

...glad kitty is okay

Clearly, you need to pet her the right way.

I think my favorite thing about her is that she somehow KNOWS that kids don't know any better -- she's never so much as growled at anyone under 5. So back when she was an outdoor cat (long story below) she would hang out in all her calico-y beauty in the front yard, the little toddlers strolling by would bop her on the head, pet her, pull her tail, whatever. Then their parents would try to touch her. And bleed.

Like my own living, breathing, practical joke.

Long Story:
I've had remarkably good luck going to shelters and "interviewing" cats. The second-best cat we've ever owned was a shelter cat (sorry, but #1 comes from a friend's cat's litter). Princess Lily was far older than our usual consideration: She was estimated to be about a year old, had been on the streets nearly her entire life, and was an emergency spay-a-pregnant-cat when she got to the shelter. But she was SOOOOOO hopped up on hormones when we came by that she was an astonishing love bug. Impus Major fell instantly in love with the beautiful little calico.

Then... the pregnancy hormones wore off, and her true, terrifying personality came out. Touch her belly? Bleed! Touch her below the shoulder blades? Bleed! EXCEPT... she'd bonded with Impus Major, and would not harm him for any reason, and she won't hurt kids under 5. She attacks all other cats, including those in the house, but had horrifically bad luck with that, so she fought all over the neighborhood, and we got complaints from neighbors. We couldn't figure it out, because every cat in our house just kicked her butt and she left them alone. She seemed like a hopelessly-incompetent, incredibly-aggressive fighter.

Unfortunately, she proceeded to react to the feline leukemia vaccine. We got the growth before she lost her leg, but no more outdoorsy for her.

She spent a 5-year prison sentence indoors, but as we waned to only two cats, and the other a fluffy white ninja who can escape any even slightly-ajar door, I gave up and started letting them out into the back yard on harnessses and leashes. They can't leave the yard, but they can lounge in the lawn or the garden areas, poke around under the deck, and, apparently, catch rats too stupid to avoid cats on harnesses.

So she's pretty darned stoked to be feeling healthy, getting outside every day, and catching rats. Now if only she could do away with that fluffy white pea-brain...

I did, everyone was loyal.

Requirements to save Miranda (as far as I can tell):

- Loyal in ME2
- Must have read Kai Leng's dossier
- Must have met with her on the Citadel (in person or via holochannel) at every opportunity
- Must warn her about Kai Leng
- Must grant her access to Alliance resources
- Must either not have been romanced in ME2 or, if romanced, must not have explicitly broken off the relationship in ME3
- Must have a high enough reputation to take the Paragon or Renegade options when dealing with Henry

I found a good explanation for anime style catgirls! Ha!

Of the core races of the setting, one is the Hengeyokai of Rite Publishing. Their appearance is described as thus:

Quote:
A hengeyokai's true form is that of a humanoid with the face of an animal. The animal is that of its clan. A hengeyokai may change shape, appearing either as a human or in the natural form of her clan animal (alter self, beastshape I). A hengeyokai's human features are always the same, as are her animal features and these features are uniquely hers. That is, a hengeyokai cannot choose to take the shape or form of another person or animal in order to disguise herself without access to other abilities or powers. A hengeyokai can revert to her natural form at will. She may adopt her alternate forms a number of times per day equal to 1/2 her character level (minimum 1).

So, Hengeyokai have actual animal heads, and can straight up turn into animals. Personally, I like humans with animal ears, maybe tails. Well, it could be the case that hengeyokai go around in human form most of the time, not animal face form, because other races are more comfortable with talking to people. This is an age of flashy fashions and experimenting with appearances, though, so maybe younger hengeyokai want to look more animalistic, but don't want to straigt up look like an animal, because that wouldn't be cute. So they shift their ears into animal-person form, but keep the rest of their body human unless they feel like growing out their animal form tail. If people think that looks cool, it could become widespread, and perhaps popularise animal ear headbands among non-hengeyokai.

So, anime style catgirls are literally just a fashion statement. Which fits the tone of the setting perfectly.

oh man, I don't think I did the third one(missed her before you know what happened at you know where)! Thanks man this will help with the playthrough I have planned next.

I am having a devil of a time coming up with the color scheme I want for my next playthrough. As per my agreement with CH, I will be playing a vanguard. The first color scheme I did was all white (adept), the second and current was blood red(operative/infiltrator). Since its a vanguard was thinking of mixing two colors. Right now I have the odd idea of royal purple and gold trim, but that sounds Warhammer40kish. Any ideas? What says "vanguard" to you?

I'm not so sure about the romance one. I think I romanced her a couple times in both 2 and 3 and she survived in 3.

Edit: Also If you can't talk her father down or shoot him yourself, even if you warm her about KL, well, you know what happens

Gratz! Now make sure that you do the maintenance on the house. I would also suggest a Toro lawn mower. I paid almost $500 for mine and it was worth every penny.

FAWTL: Forums Are Way Too Long.
Deep Six: Pun on the fact that this is the sixth FAWTL thread. The other threads, in order, are

Forums Are Way Too Long!!!
Son of Forums Are Way Too Long!!!
Forums Are Way Too Long: The Next Generation
FAWTLY TOWER IV
FAWTLhouse Five

There were some suggestions back around the 100k mark about what to call the seventh thread but it's looking more and more like we won't need one. The prior five threads were all closed when they got so large that they started breaking the forums; PMG seems to have used us for stress testing and finally found a way to allow the forums to handle FAWTL capacity without cracking under the pressure. At least, thus far.

Holy f&%%ing s!@$! Pennywise is in the closet!

Just like the old gypsy woman said!

It stands for Forums are way too long, started long ago by Isaac something or other who had a vision for short minimal post threads, it's now in it's 6th version.

Okay, now I get it. Holy Toledo, I kind of feel sorry for IssacX. He should be awarded a custom Dr. Frankenstein avatar.

Reminds me of my time on the RPG.net Custom Motivational Poster threads. The first one went well over 3000 pages. Good times....

Dark Archive

Congratulations Aranna. That is awesome. My wife and I bought a new house last year it is a great time and a wonderful feeling to pay to something you own yourself.

I think of it as a relaxing space on a site full of increasingly bad threads.

Funny thing, looking back at the first FAWTL thread, very few of the posters who were involved in the initial conversation with IssacX ever became what we lovingly refer to as "FAWTLies" or "FAWTLfolk" (i.e., regular participants in this insanity), and the thread seems to have petered out after a few pages before being kept up by Heathy and Aberzombie and the other early FAWTLfolk.

And even then, most of those few who were aren't around anymore, or don't post in here if they are.

Well, if we're picking who we want to play us in a movie. I'm gonna go with Jennifer Lawrence. Realistic? Hell, no. But it's a movie, who cares about realism. ;P
