Help me with my Azlanti Magus?

Advice

I've just gotten into pathfinder(I've done other gaming) and I have been granted permission to play an Azlanti Magus, stats are: STR-20, DEX-19, CON-20, INT-20, WIS-18, CHA-19.Any helpful advice on how to build her, she's an evil character based on our upcoming campaign and she wants to ascend to godhood since shes the last of her kind. Please and thank you.

I dunno, those stats are just so terrible I can't begin to recommend how to build an effective character.

... Are those stats for real?

They're not negatives, it's showing what goes where, but yes they're real. I've just never created anything on Pathfinder. I've done different tabletop gaming but not DnD or pathfinder.

Well, assuming this isn't a joke thread (and I'm sorry if it isn't), an "average" character has a 10 in every stat. A 25 point buy, which is the highest you'll ever normally find in a campaign, can't even get you a 14 in every stat.

How in the world did you get an array of stats where 18 is the worst?

That would be a Point Buy way over 100. How in the world did that happen?

Generously rolled stats + Azlanti are ridiculous, probably.

But okay. First question: what sources are open to you?

Second question: How hard do you want to push toward "making things heads explode with a lightning sword" versus having a varied magical offense?

Third question: Starting level and whatever you know about the ending level?

I can only assume he got the bonus from the Pureblooded Azlanti of the Inner Sea World Guide:

Although technically the last of the pureblooded Azlanti
was Aroden, Golarion is nothing if not a magical place.
Ancient Azlanti could be introduced into a game via a
number of different methods, such as by being released
from a temporal stasis effect, restored to freedom from an
imprisonment, or even resurrected by powerful artifacts
or ancient magic capable of restoring life to someone
thousands of years dead. There could even be pockets of
pureblooded Azlanti dwelling still in remote and wellhidden
locations.
Unlike a typical human, a pureblooded ancient Azlanti
gains a +2 bonus to all six ability scores
. Such powerful
humans can become player characters only with the
permission of the GM.

Even then, his scores are still high, and I've no idea how that would happen.

Set up the stat generation system and anything's possible. Fixating on them doesn't help much.

It's not a joke thread. She had us roll six sets with D8s and add 10 to all rolls. My 3rd set yielded 888776, adding 10 to each and my additional +2 (permission to use everything the Azlanti and it's pluses) I would love to make things heads explode. I believe we are at 1-3. I haven't made the drive to Mesa (40minutes from me) to know exactly since she has no phone for now.

Is 3rd Party Material allowed?

Well, honestly there's not much you can do to mess it up. Use an 18-20 crit range weapon to deliver your touch spells, and stick with light and/or mithral armor to avoid limiting your dex.

I really can't believe any Gm would allow those stats. Have you checked with them make sure you can use those stats?

Not that unbelievable. I've come up with similar. They're statistically unlikely, but given his rolling method certainly not that unbelievable.

But okay. The core Magus offense uses the spell Shocking Grasp. Since it doesn't scale well (capped at 5D6), you want to add Intensify Spell at either level 5 or 7; that brings the cap up to 10D6. Add in traits; either Wayang Spellhunter or Magical Lineage (or both, if you're feeling snazzy) and you get to cast Intensified Shocking Grasp in a first-level slot.

Going forward you'll want to pick up the other combat metamagics, like Empower, Maximize, and Quicken.

The other half of Magus offense comes from their arcanas; Arcane Deed allows you to gain a deed off the Swashbuckler list, and Precise Strike is probably the first grab. That'll let you add your level to damage with any one-handed piercing weapon; grab a rapier or estoc and have fun.

A Dexterity-based build could use Slashing Grace to open up more weapons that Precise Strike works with, but with your stats you don't really need a Dex build.

Really, outside of those two things the Magus feat list is incredibly open, so more thoughts on how your character would like to fight would be helpful.

I'm not sure about 3rd party material and thank you Kestral, I want one who can dish damage, but I'm not 100% sure. Haha! Ozzrit yes I've checked and it's approved.

Since this forum is for the Beginner's Box set where there are no mages and no Azlanti, I think this needs to be moved.
