I recently played Fane of Fangs, a 5th level Quest that uses pregens from Pathfinder Unchained.
After getting our Chronicles I mentioned I'd be willing to run it during one of my "Core Sundays" sessions, but was told that since the pregens are all non-Core that there could never be a Core session of Fane of Fangs.
Is this true? And if it is, can there ever be Core sessions of other non-Core quests or modules, like the We Be Goblins trilogy? Or Risen From the Sands?

Pre-gens of CRB classes, even if they include non-Core material
So Fane of Fangs and Risen from the Sands may be out, but 3 of 4 We Be Goblins pre-gens are OK.

Even though they're a non-Core race?
Mike Brock's comment mentions non-Core "items" as being acceptable, not non-Core "material".

Given that WBG is explicitly okay, I wouldn't be surprised if Fane of Fangs is fine as well.

Core Campaign only restricts what your character can access. If you run a module with pregens, you can make it a core game and apply the credit to core characters.
I believe there was a ruling that only core pregens could be used in core campaign mode. WBG is explicitly exempted from this since you must play goblins for it, but I'm not sure on Fane of Fangs.

Just to make sure everyone's clear on what's been said in the past, here are the rulings made so far:
Quote:Can we assign a playing of "We Be Goblins" to a Core character?WBG = Yes
Quote:What pre-gens can we use for "Risen from the Sands"?Core Pregens only (aka..the classes found in the CRB)

I imagine this will have to be handled in a case by case basis, but a safe assumption is that if a module or scenario ONLY a allows a specified set of pregens, then the pregens that are available can be used. The We Be Goblins* or Serpent's Rise would be examples of this.
If it's permitted to mix non- pregen and pregen characters (Risen from the Sands), it's likely only Core pregens will be allowed. If nothing else, this drastically reduces the chance of "I scribed <non-core spell> from the scroll that <hypothetical module pregen> had" abuse.
