Technomacer Design

Homebrew and House Rules

So my friend wants to use a Technomancer class in our D&D campaign, but the concept he's going for doesn't quite fit the other designs I've see.

Basically the concept he has in mind is more combat orientated, utilizing three types of constructs and devices in battle: those that can provide buffs to the party similarly to a paladin or cleric's, ones that target a singular enemy and perhaps add a small buff to himself, and those meant for massive AoE damage. He also places a small, certain emphasis on the electrical and metal elements, mainly for a few minor spells and as a means in creating and using items, devices, constructs, etc.

I'd try to homebrew the class based on these notes myself, but the problem is my entire group, myself included, are all noobs. I realize this isn't a whole lot to go on, and I'm not exactly expecting full class made just off this (that would be incredible if it did happen though), but any suggestions or help either in brewing one, or finding (and modifying if need be) an existing class that fits the mark would be greatly appreciated :)

(Quick not, I've been having him use Artificer so far, so yes I have already seen it. Unfortunately Weird Science hasn't seen any use yet.)

I'm not too familiar with the technology rules, but you could maybe reskin the Summoner?

Provide buffs -> Summoners have a lot of buffs.
Target a singular enemy -> Summoners get an eidolon that mess up singular enemies.
Massive AoE damage -> Okay, maybe not so much this one, but Summoners do get a few nifty AoE crowd control spells.

I'm imagining reskinning the Summoner as follows:
Spells known -> Some device / gadget.
Spell slots -> Energy cells to power these gadgets. Technomancer can recharge these energy cells every day.
Eidolon -> Construct / Robot.

You might want to look into the Machinesmith class from Neo-Exodus.

I kept track of a bunch of artificer-style classes here. One of them will probably fit the vision closer, or at the very least, give inspiration on how to do the class abilities.

It's a bit out of date.

Interjection Games has a class or two that may fit your needs.

The Machinesmith is on d20pfsrd.com. So is the Tinker and Gearhead. For a newer player I'd go for the Machinesmith.
