What build would make for an interesting and effective Dimensional Dervish character?
I always wanted to play one, but I can never quite settle on a class.
A Theologian Cleric of Cayden Cailean seems like a decent option. The idea of drunkedly teleporting around an enemy and stabbing them repeatedly with a rapier is amusing enough.

Unchained Monk can do it single classed very well now. He's got the feats and entry is early enough.
Before that anything with Horizon Walker dip was solid, starting the feat chain at lvl 9. Ranger 6 / HW 3 / Ranger X is pretty strong. Rogue/Ninja/Slayer if you go into Dim Savant as well and flank with yourself for sneak damage. Don't forget Outflank then!
Some GMs might allow Teleportation Wizard to qualify for Dim Agility immediately. You can't actually use Dervish without the spell, but you might be able to start the feat chain. I'd go for a Eldritch Knight build here.

My RotRL Magus loves the feat at level 11.
With Spellcombat, you don't use the swift cast, you just cast DD as your spellcombat spell and take a full attack with after you appear.
If you happen to have a couple of allies who delay right next to you, it is even more amazing since you all appear and then they come out of delay for full attacks as well.

From a mechanical standpoint the best option might be to start with 5 levels of samsaran witch using mystic past life to get dimension door from the summoner spell list as a level 3 spell (and thus qualifying for dimensional agility) if feat retraining is not allowed. Going that route I strongly recommended going into one of the arcane casting full BAB prestige classes (edritch knight is a good choice), at least until your spell casting covers more than 1 or 2 DDs per day.

So many options!
I like the idea of using Samsaran to get a level 3 dimension door. That makes being a wizard not the only early way to get the feat chain started.
Sneak attack would be fun with the self-flanking feat. It's a shame Arcane Trickster is half BAB, but a Wizard 5 / Unchained Rogue 3 / Arcane Trickster 10 sounds fun. With fractional BAB you'd still only have +9 at 18 though.
I'd probably go with the Rogue, Ninja, or Slayer Horizon Walker at that point, even though it sucks to give up the utility of spells.
