Ask the Scottish about Armored Kilts?

I am going to lobby the development team to introduce two new slots, the underwear / chastity belt slot and the codpiece slot.

Anybody considering posting risque puns about slots- shame on you. :P

It should be noted that paladins who neglect underpants are in violation of their sacred oaths and become ex-paladins until they atone and wear appropriate undergarments.

There is nothing in the general Paladin requirements that says anything about the alignment implications or morality of nudity, chastity or sexuality.

Individual deity requirements, specific denominations or cults, or other groups paladins might get mixed up in may have their own variations of tenants/beliefs on the issue.

Who let the Prophets of Kalistrade write the paladin code?!?!?!?

Sorry folks, for an expansion to the Pathfinder rules of this magnitude, you are going to have to wait for the release of Ultimate Underwear.

Boxers, briefs, undershirts, bras, thongs...and much, much more.

I'm really curious about the new class and iconic for this one.

Seoni seems like a good fit. Maybe an Unfettered Sorcerer.

catching someone with their pants down could be considered dishonorable.

I feel honored to have, not just one, but two paizo members comment in this thread.

Stephen reminded me. If you're an ANTIPALAIDIN... you lose your powers if you DO wear underwear. Further, Antipaladins are expected to line the inside of their armor with sandpaper. And none of that fine-grain stuff. COARSE sandpaper. It's how they stay angry.

It's not that you lose the power, it's that you get increased power due to the freedom that such lack of undergarments provide. Evil needs to swing freely to generate divine energy.

And hey, I like the coarse grind of my armor. The chaffing makes me feel sexy.

Serious question.

RAW, what happens if I'm a paladin wearing Mithril Chainmail without undergarments that puts a Succubus in a Grapple? Do I fall?

EDIT: Due to being horribly hairy, do I suffer penalties? Damage? Negative Levels? Brain Damage? Join a cult to Chtulu?

Well, the goddess might have some serious questions for you. About how you are making eyes at those demon tramps, and then getting into that situation.

Basically, you fall until you atone by sleeping on the couch of solitude for a fortnight. The goddess might also go back to her mother's, and take the mount with her.

(Having flashback's of Marvel comics' Speedball during his Penance days. *shudder*)

Not really a problem if she considered thick padding a part of armor.

Anyway, Kit wasn't exactly known for her honesty and reliable truthfulness...

Truth on both parts.

I think 'under padding' is considered part of the armor when figuring weight and encumbrance and what not...

Sleeping on the couch with your underpants on, though, right? Seriously, it's important an important question if your roommates come home early . . .

The goddess forces him to wear the chastity belt of penance for an indefinite period of time.

The Chastity belt of penance is VERY similar to the antipaladin equipment...except it has a special fitting with spikes. Spikes on the INSIDE that just barely touch.

While not necessary, it is highly advised for the paladin to get the party wizard to routinely use a ray of frost on the paladin's pants. For his safety. Particularly when succubi are around.

Won't someone please think of the underpants gnomes?!

You mean the new race?

Dotting this thread for interest.

Because I am always on the lookout for a decent pair of pants.

Will the mysterious "Step 2" finally be given game mechanics, so I know how my PC can profit from underpants?

It won't happen underwear unchained

The entire point of underwear is so that doesn't happen.

It mostly consisted of a new rule set to take care of rule problem that made unhooking bras difficult.

15. And those DEFINITELY count as distracted, no taking 10.

So, when is Pathfinder Undressed coming out? Any release schedule set up yet?

I'd expect underpants to be against Arshea's paladin code, if anything.

Chastity belts definitely are.

Underwear wearing negates the benefits of an armorer kilt. Ach aye!

Look out, when I made a similar like remark, I was called for my lowland heritage. My ancestors were lowlanders, but that's no reason to think that's the only reason I said that undergarments weren't allowed under kilts.

Will somebody think of the sheep?

Considering there is lack of complete overlap between the historical armor wearing periods in Europe (pre-19th century) and the historical underpants wearing periods (14th century onward) I doubt that in terms of historical Earth underpants were necessary with armor. Prior to brais or breeks being reinvented in the 13th century and growing in popularity in the 14th century(except among the heathen Greeks who still wear no breeks) most seem to have opted to wear under their armor a loin cloth, a simple tube of cloth covering that part of the anatomy (a modern half-slip, usually short enough to be considered cheeky by modern standards). I say reinvented since the Romans had both types of underwear, shorts somewhat like boxers and loincloths, but there was no MTV back then so we don't know whether Caesar preferred boxers or loincloth, or which any other Roman decided which to wear with armor.

I think it's after Ultimate Underwear, but definitely before the Underwear Unchained that lemeres mentioned.

Neglect does not necessarily imply wearing. Could a commando Paladin remain within their oath so long as they made sure all underwear encountered were properly washed, dried, and folded?

You don't need underwear with armour if you just wear a breastplate.

The next question.

Does not wearing underwear grant a bonus against Touch spells, or a penalty?

Depends on if it's an inny or an outie

kestral287 wrote:

I dunno, but a bad touch cleric should get +4 to hit when not wearing underpants.

Then it's only fair that the Succubus gets the same bonus to her CMB!

Those are valuable items! Black Adder's codpiece sold for £850 back in 2010. What would it be worth today?

Folded? That's what I've been doing wrong. Now, finally, I can atone.

The kobold PC in our current campaign is a strange fellow with a particular interest in why it is that people bother wearing underpants. He thinks they're derivative. He's not much of a fan of regular pants either.

I suppose the matter is different when you have scales and an innie.

And a cloaca.

Seriously, I can't tell if they are male or female, even without pants.

CLOACA!

(Sadly, only my current group will get the full joke.)

You jest, sir, but as a Mormon and former Mormon missionary, I can confirm that this is part of an actual code of conduct and sacred oath. Mormon paladins must always wear undergarments (except when bathing, but even then it should be a short shower). I am not at liberty to explain the full details.

I'm really curious about the new class and iconic for this one.

Pantsmeister - Ruler of all thing pants and undergarment, this skill based class focuses on enhancing his abilities through spending Brief points to gain enhancements to his pants. He also can debuff enemies by debriefing them of their garments, cause enemy pants to grow too tight, or quickly put pants on things that don't normally have pants. One archetype focuses on creating a relationship with intelligent golden pantaloons.

The iconic is a middle aged half-elf woman who has the catch phrase, "I wear the pants now!"

The book will also introduce my favorite 3PP 3.5 spell disrobe into Pathfinder. Target creature has all wearable items removed from their person and placed at their feet on the ground. It is actually a really effective way to debuff higher level NPCs.

Rogues love enemies with underpants. Makes it easier to rack up sneak attack damage when your enemy gets a wedgie.

Depends on whether it's used or not, I guess.

So can we expect Pathfinder Unpantsed where the Rogue and Monk and especially Barbarian become the be all of Pathfinder classes, you don't want to know what happens to Summoners....
