For us all to share ideas. If you're familiar with the adventure you may note I've changed scribbleface a bit. He's now a wizard. I'm prepping things for a longer campaign in case we end up going that route.

It seems wonderfully put together. One binding goal, REVENGE! And a mystically enforced contract that requires you to be loyal and straight with one another.

Oh, and also related to the recruitment thread, I've barely done any PbP and I'd already give at least two toes to be able to link different default aliases for different forum threads. It's probably harder than I think it is, but it'd be SO CONVENIENT.

We should start an FAQ for that. See if we can get some mention by moderators as to why or why not they might include it.
-------
I do have one problem with continuing the campaign in WotW, in that it requires you to venerate the specific deity, when my character, and most other PC'S here, have already made choices about devout faith. Lamashtan psuedo-cleric isn't really going to champion someone else to rule a country. It seems like it's only built to have characters that start in the campaign. It's pretty strictly Lawful Evil too, even if it says otherwise.
-------
IRL, I too am pretty incredibly uptight. This is actually my first ever evil character. At most before now they've been chaotic neutral. I'm just really having fun with this. And I'm really having fun with being unapologetically awful about things, since it's really to be expected in a chaotic evil campaign.
I could not do this in a face to face campaign, but I am gonna have a lot of fun with it here. >:)

HA! I'm a GM from waaaaay back.
I've had vampire NPCs feed on daycare center children draining them to the point of feral starvation and then awaken them just in time for their parents to pick them up. And then let them run loose for the PCs to sort out.
I've run a wizard who used his floating head familiar (it was pretty, so he took it) for fellatio.
I've RUN Tomb of Horrors!*

I thought he meant WotW as a separate thing. Anyway, goblins would be terrible for that.
Sooo, I was thinking of using the VMC rules to go druid and give Urk that Wolf he wants so bad. Assmuming we even make it to a high enough level for that to matter. I think goblin's idea for respecting nature might be a bit non-traditional though.
Korak The Boisterous |
Actually, it doesn't. Asmodeus is suggested as your deity, not required to be part of your faith. Your loyalty and the contract on the other hand is required. You can basically worship any deity you want, though why you're evil and worshipping the great good god whatever would be a stretch, you don't have to worship Asmodeus.

I would concur without a lot of major changes. Goblins are naturally predisposed to the Comedic Evil alignment and would probably not be able to evolve too far beyond their slapstick splatter punk high-jinx roots. That and I can't really imagine loveable losers like goblins (I mean look at us) taking on nations and dragons and angels and such. They are after all punching bags for PCs and fairly two-dimensional.
That does not mean though I would not be interested in such a game with more complex evil/near-evil characters--people with goals beyond arson, dog maiming and giggling.
Korak The Boisterous |
VMC is cool, and yes, I do mean as a separate thing, though if you guys wanna try it as goblins I'll give it a go. Though it would be easier with far more standard characters.
Korak The Boisterous |
while less goblin'y characters is good, it's not necessary, I will say this, don't hold back on the character concepts. A monstrous PC IS doable.
Korak The Boisterous |
Rhuun, while I was reading your post, I was seriously starting to question your goblin credentials until you pulled out Ungulp. And now I no longer need to ask what happened to Ungulp I through XII.
EDIT: Or where the name Ungulp came from.
Korak The Boisterous |
We are, but depending on where this goes I may start way of the wicked while we're waiting for WBGFree. Or handwave you a way to Talingarde and watch the hijinks as goblins blow up the AP
Zashi! and Chomper! |
That would be... highly amusing... :D
OH! OH!
I was looking at Chomper, because I wanted to see what stats he had higher than some of the party, and I realized something. While Zashi's lower Con score makes him ineligible, Chomper's 13 has him dead on qualified for the Mark of Evil feat I really wanted Zashi to take.
I took improved unarmed strike, which is literally worthless with his natural attacks, because it's a feat Prerequisite for most feat trees. Could I swap that for Mark of Evil?
Sorry to spring this on after we've started, but we haven't done a combat yet, and it didn't even occur to me to see if Chomper was eligible when I wanted to use the feat.

My ruling, is that speech must be involved in this. If it can speak, yes it can gain it, but it must wait for it's next feat.
Korak The Boisterous |
No no. Zashi read, not write. He okay!
EDIT: And Zashi? we're kinda waiting on you to post.
Korak The Boisterous |
Guys, feast first, fireworks tomorrow, but if you really want to go, I can work with a nighttime adventure.
Doza Toadlick |
@Zashi - You should change the tentacle evolution to increased damage, or increased natural armor, or even mount since you're small. It's limited to three attacks which you're better off leaving as bite, claw, claw since they're all primary attacks where the tentacle is a secondary attack.
Doza Toadlick |
It states natural attacks, not natural attack types:
"This indicates the maximum number of natural attacks that the eidolon is allowed to possess at the given level. If the eidolon is at its maximum, it cannot take evolutions that grant additional natural attacks. This does not include attacks made with weapons."

Basically shoving her and calling her a sissy elf. And then nodding at the crowd like 'right man.' *fist bump* Yeah that's what I'm talkin' about.
Korak The Boisterous |
Squealy nord takes off like a bat out of hell once released from the rope. He runs along the edge of the wall scraping you against it. (make a ride check)

So, notes on my post:
I post exclusively from my phone, so excessive formatting would destroy any enjoyment I have in this game, Ergo I made a decision. Because Chomper doesn't talk much, I decided to give him the scary/sexy "voice" with italics and bold text.
He probably sounds like Tim Curry, and speaks in an amused, purr type tone.
I also chose to have him call Zashi "Sire," because "to sire" is to father children, and also an honorific. It was the best I could do with it still being appropriate enough.
Korak The Boisterous |
You think Tim Curry's voice is sexy? I mean, distinctive, sure, bad, no. But sexy? I mean, scary sure, villainous, absolutely. I just don't hear sexy.
