Hi guys, I'm about to play my first PFS Game and after reading through what I needed to download in order to make my Gnome Sylvan Sorcerer with a Giant Weasel Companion using Hero Lab, I've noticed I don't get the Blood Drain attack ability, but I do get the Grab (Attach) ability and when I check against the additional resources guide on the Piazo site theres no apparent reason why I shouldn't get it...
It states:
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary 4
Animal Companions (p. 311): dimorphodon, giant seahorse, giant tortoise, giant weasel, stag, styracosaurus, trumpeter swan, velociraptor, and walrus are legal for play; Familiars: all familiars listed on pages 96-97 and the almirajes, giant flea, greensting scorpion, nosoi psychopomp, nycar, pooka, and scarlet spider are legal for play; Feats: none of the feats are legal for play for PCs, animal companions, or familiars unless specifically granted by another legal source; Other: all creatures in this book are legal for polymorph effects (including a druid's wild shape ability) within the boundaries of each spell or ability's parameters. All languages found in this book are available for a character to learn with the linguistics skill.
The Packages That I own for Hero Lab are:
Pathfinder RPG Core
Pathfinder RPG Advanced Race Guide
Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Magic
Pathfinder RPG Player Companion #10
Pathfinder RPG Player Companion #19
Pathfinder RPG Player Companion Races #1
Just bought:
Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 4
In the hopes it would fix the problem, but no dice.
Here's a link to the rules on The Giant weasel and the copyright notice states its taken from the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 4...

Just wondering if there's something I'm missing or if it's a fault with Hero Lab; any idea's or is there a workaround I could use? I'm playing in like 12 hours.
I've posted on the Hero Lab forum and submitted a bug report.

What herolab says isn't very relevant except for your own convenience. Nor is d20pfsrd. What matters is what the paizo book says. To bring a giant weasel to the table you must have either the bestiary 4 book, or Pathfinder #67: The Snows of Summer. As the GM, those are the things I am going to look at, not hero lab.

Possibly more importantly (sorry Flutter), here are the 'Companion stats from Snows of Summer.
Giant Weasel Companions
Starting Statistics: Size Medium; Speed 40 ft.; AC +1 natural armor; Attack bite (1d6), 2 claws (1d4); Ability Scores Str 13, Dex 19, Con 13, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 11; Special Qualities low-light vision, scent
7th-Level Advancement: Size Large; AC +2 natural armor; Attack bite (1d8), 2 claws (1d6); Ability Scores Str +8, Dex –2, Con +4; Special Attacks attach.
The don't get blood drain at all.

Ah... so that's the problem. There are two versions of the weasel...
On the other hand:
Pathfinder Adventure Path #67 "The Snows of Summer"Equipment: all equipment except cauldron of overwhelming allies and spear of manhunting are legal for play; Spells: flurry of snowballs, ice spears, Irriseni mirror sight, and snowball; See the rules and Chronicle sheet download for additional sanctioned content.
It looks like I was wrong, and the snows weasel isn't PFS legal anyway.
So yeah, it is back to whatever B4 says.

It may be worth the OP looking into their Hero Lab settings (ctrl-k), and making sure that B4 is checked and Reign of Winter is unchecked. This should bypass the two versions problem, assuming the B4 version has been put in correctly.
All of this is, of course, subject to possession of PFS valid sources... (Your home is at risk if you do not keep up with payments etc etc etc)

Both the Dire and Giant Weasel statblocks in my copy of Bestiary 4 have Blood Drain.
But Animal Companion versions of the weasel do not. Just like many AC versions of Bestiary animals don't quite match up.
In this case, Herolab is right.

My copy of B4 says that they do...
