Hawkeye / Natty Bumppo from the Leatherstocking Tales

Or more specifically from the movie Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis. I am thinking Musket Master with a couple levels of Ranger thrown in for the TWF with hatchet and knife as well as the wilderness abilities. Definitely a high Dex with decent Con and Str.

Any thoughts?

Thinking a 20 point build.

I think you lost everyone with a reference to natty bumpo....

Thanks for the fun memory. : )

Ranger for sure. Maybe guide template, with amateur gun smith feat. I always felt that character was the classic scout/guide who picked up firearms use later on.

I think you are correct about losing people by adding Natty Bumppo and Leatherstocking.

I like the Ranger idea though I think he learned to hunt with firearms from a young age.

I guess whichever class, archetype, feats and traits make sense.

I think there are two or three really good options.

Ranger for me carrys the skill points to pull it off.

Trait wise trap savvy and eyes of the green.

Big game hunter archetype might work...also explains familiarity with traps...
