Sadly, I don't have it next to me to reference, but we had an issue with the wording on the Family Tomb location and the "When Permanently Closed" text. It seems like some language is missing from the text, unless I'm completely misunderstanding how it works. What exactly are you supposed to examine and potentially leave at that location?

I don't have them either but I remember looking at this one. I think you examine everything left in it, then shuffle it up and leave it all there. So nothing gets banished.
You'll know everything that is in the location deck, both good and bad. Maybe you'll be tempted to explore for a good boon you saw there, weighing the risk of a nasty bane that was also there.

It says "Before closing, examine the location deck, then set aside those cards. On closing, shuffle those cards into this location deck."
Keep in mind the standard rules for When Permanently Closed:
First, apply any effects that say “before closing.” Then banish all of the cards from the location deck; it is now closed. Finally, apply any effects that say “on closing” and flip the location card over.
So when we want cards to avoid being banished, we have to pull them out "before closing" and stuff them back in "on closing."

So is the idea that you can go to that closed location to continue to explore? Otherwise I don't understand why you would still have cards at a closed location.
That's exactly the idea. You may continue to explore there to coax out boons, if you'd like; but it's no longer mission-critical to do that.

Of course the Temptation barriers themselves have nothing to do with luck. :D So generous, letting you see so many cards and then deciding if you want them or not!
Though we haven't taken anything from any of them since an armor barrier in the first location of the first scenario. For everyone else's trouble with Arboreal Blight, I think we've only hit that card two or three times, where we hit Temptation of Lucre twice in a row in one of our recent games. Some people's luck is different from others, I guess~
(saw Mr. Carrion Golem twice in the last scenario, though. :/)

Family Tomb was also confusing for us tonight as well. We thought we could strip out the banes for some reason and add the boons back into the location for some reason. Fortunately there were no good boons so this really had no effect.
But that's not what it says. If you look at the text quoted above, it is all the cards. Both boons and banes. The temptation of Family Tomb is that you can continue to loot (explore) the tomb even after it's closed. Both the good and bad remaining.
