OK hoping you can help me, DM'ing a new campaign(only LvL 5 at the mo) and I have managed to killed off the Party Cleric (just bad roll's), so the PC wants to Build a Multi-class Cleric Fighter Build so she can Dish out more damage in combat, and wants to take the Multitalented racial trait from the Half-elf, But She douse not want to Be a Half-elf,
So without a homebrew fix to it, we had a look around the PDR and d20pfsrd and found Adopted,
Now on the PDR is says you can pick a racial trait from your parent race, so to this I would assume Multitalented was selectable ? but on the d20pfsrd site there is a Specific list on traits that you can pick from ?
Any help clearing this up would be good, thanks

Adopted only lets you pick traits from the 'race' category (as opposed to combat, faith, magic, etc); it does not let you pick racial traits from different races' descriptions (that's a very common misunderstanding, and its unfortunate that the terms are so similar).
Also, have them check out the warpriest it's literally designed to be a cleric/fighter hybrid (and it official Paizo material, from Advanced Class Guide). There are also ways to build effective melee clerics and oracles; bards (or witches with pragmatic activator) can be useful in combat and provide some healing- with UMD they can also handle status removal; even paladins can be effective healers with the right build (and focusing on ending combat faster and doing most healing out of combat).

Clerics can get naturally all benefits of Fighters (Ironbound Master giving armor training too).
I would, however, show him the Warpriest too. It's a fun class.
