A question about swarms and the spaces they occupy.

Rules Questions

So I ran my first game recently and I had a number of things about swarms come up that I was confused about. I felt some more fell into the advice category so if you are interested in answering those look up "How would a swarm respond" in the advice category.

My question here though is that the part in the scenario took place on a 5 foot walk way and a swarm is supposed to attack. However a swarm is a ten foot by ten foot square and wouldn't be able to fit. I simply made the adjustment that it only took up one 5 foot square but was wondering if swarms had special rules or how much space they occupy or something that I'm unaware of.

The game has squeezing rules which allow a creature to cram into a space smaller than itself.

Oh well I should probably get acquainted with those. Thx.

a flaying swarm has no problem most of the time. a climbing\waling one i would have just used as area used(as a 10X10 would take 4 5ft squares. so if only 1 can be on a narrow pathway the rest will be right behind it.
altho swarm still can b in other creatures space with out any of them squeezing.(as in the swarm info)
