No problem, Jani. :) I just left the rest without much. I should have at least said, "Enjoy your meal! Talk amongst yourselves."

Ulgra gives a look to Enrik, who looks up for a moment and then answers, "Ah, my men must be back from their patrol of the border and woods, and are seeing that things are secure. I would think they should be down and joining us in a moment. Ulgra, would you wish to check on the men?"

You remember that the mound-like shape of the longhouse, with the slope of the hill and the low-hanging roof edges, would allow easy access at points.

Storn:

Something else was conveyed, too, in Enrik's message to Ulgra.

"What is going on here?" Herman wonders to himself seeing the interplay between the two hosts. "Could it be some sort of trap?"

Herman decides to risk taking the frontal approach with Enrik, hoping the others will back his play. Feigning indignation, he fumes at the man:"Look here, I demand to know what is going on this very moment! You are acting very sketchy and I don't like it one bit. The men on the roof is really the last straw. Take us back to our quarters now, and then let's get on our way!"

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Enrik Ironjaw looks disappointed for a moment, then the Blackraven sets his strong jaw and furrows his brow. “Freyr Darkwine is no king,” he says. “It is not for him to erase a weregild of thousand years to convenience the Pathfinders. Kill us all if you must, but you’ll not drag us before his justice. Those goblins will die like the monsters they are!”

At that moment, Enrik rises and fluidly bring the battleaxe off his back, while Ulgra rises and moves her hand toward the greatsword on her back!

Farg:
You haven't heard the men on the roof yet or the other commotion, so you are just watching the goblins be goblins.

Herman, Storn and Jani can have a move action or a standard action in this 'surprise' round - or, sudden turn of hostilities - being most clued-in to the undercurrents.

Surprise Round: *Enrik, Storn, Jani, *Ulgra, Herman, get a surprise round action
Regular Round: *Enrik, Storn, Herman, Jani, *Ulgra, Hagan, Wuliem

Storn, Herman and Jani are up! (Enrik and Ulgra are just rising and drawing weapons - but you get to act before Ulgra, possibly getting an AoO.

PS - It was going to go hostile no matter what: it is just a matter of earlier (better) or later (worse).

Storn - that would technically be three actions - standing up, drawing your greatsword, and attacking, so I'll bump part of it to the regular Round 1, if it makes any difference.

Herman, already indignant, is not surprised when the Blackraven's spring the ambush.

Sitting in the chair, he casts Ear Piercing Scream on the Enrik, watching with a smile as the sonic attack resounds in his ears alone.

Round 1

Enrik's attack on Herman: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Enrik's attack on Herman: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Enrik moves to block Herman and brings his greatsword down with both hands against the sitting halfling, but inexplicably misses, hewing only the table.
(He made his daze save.)

Meanwhile, Storn draws his greatsword and nearly downs Ulgra with it as she is drawing hers.

You still don't hear the men on the roof, but...
Some of the goblins' ears rotate towards the northwest area of the roof behing Farg, and the turn and look quizzically. You then hear it, too: some men are on the roof, and you think you heard Storn's war cry.
You can now act.

For the sake of convenience, I'll move Ulgra up. I was debating whether to have her go with Enrik or not, but having it separate will, I think, drag this out too long.

Ulgra's attack on Storn: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 192d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 3 + 1 = 14

As he is doing so, he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a vial of sorts.

alchemical item:
Ghast Retch Flask 5/5
Price 16.6 gp; Weight 1 lb.
DESCRIPTION
Harvested and concentrated from the remains of slain ghasts, this foul-smelling powder is kept in tightly sealed flasks. It is thrown as a splash weapon and the flask breaks on impact, releasing noxious dust. The target is nauseated for 1 round and sickened for 3 rounds after that. A successful DC 12 Fortitude save prevents the nauseated condition, but not the sickened condition. Creatures within 5 feet of where the flask hits are sickened for 1 round. This is a poison effect.

Well, that simplifies things, at lest.

Enrik's Will Save for Daze: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Only one will save, since by the time it gets back to you the misfortune you cast would have expired.
Seeing Enrik launch his misguided blow against Herman, Jani rises and casts a spell, seeking to muddle Enrik's mind, and he appears dazed.

Sorry, Farg, my mistake. I had it correct at one time and I am not sure when I misapplied it. Give yourself two actions, as if you heard the men approaching sooner (it wouldn't be more than that since they are approaching your direction and would only be audible relatively close.

Ulgra's Fort Save, DC 12: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Ulgra is hit by Wuliem's flask and an ineffably putrid gray material seems to flow across her armor. (Fortunately, no one from the party is too close.) She looks thoroughly repulsed, but doesn't lose her dinner.
So, sickened 3 rounds.

Watch out for little kids and keyboards. My daughter found great delight in ripping keys out of my laptop...

Farg hears the fighting going on and looks to the Goblins who seem to have noticed it as well.

Hmmpf... Farg grunts.Must be a trap... I will protect you I'm sure my companions will handle this! then the hulking Tielfling exits the chamber and looks out of the hall but cannot see any opponents only the sound of battle. Unwilling to leave the Goblins unprotected he waits to see what is going on.

He then concentrates ficks a blob of muck in front of the door where it spreads out all greasy and glibbery.

Move EE. Stand in front of door. Cast Grease on the squares in front of the southern door.

Farg, I not sure what you mean by EE, but as you open the door to the hallway, you can tell that the men on the roof are right above the hatch at O30 (the hatch is unbarred, unlike the south doors). Below the hatch is a steep ladder-like set of stairs, where Ulgra was sitting when you arrived. You could, if you like, grease the ladder and either O-P/29-30, or O-P/30-31 (the 10' square centered on the ladder plus the area to the left (west) or right (east). Let me know, and that will be Round 1.

Round 2:

Enrik stands and does nothing, looking unfocused at one of you, then another.

Ulgra, cursing, coughing and spitting, steps back and withdraws around the corner to the north, yelling, "Just try to save your monstrous friends!"
The position she is shown in is your guess as to how far she could get and from what you can hear (a bit).

I'm delaying for a moment the men on the roof until I hear from Farg.

Everyone is up!

PS- Jani, I will! Wuliem, that's good. :) Herman, yeah, my cats are strangely uninterested in my laptop. Farg - sometimes I am not sure if he could damage this thing any more, but then he tips it on the floor or something.

The lighting is normal. It isn't described, but it wouldn't be so dim as to provide concealment, but illuminated here and there by torches, oil lamps, and fires.

]ooc]Hagan - under mounted combat, there is a +1 for "higher ground", so that would possibly apply. Still a miss, though.[/ooc]
Hagan attempts to bring the axe down on the Enrik's head, but misses, landing a solid, but harmless, blow on his shield.

Farg - I'm still not completely sure, but I put you outside the door to the goblin room as the best place to intercept the warriors.

The daze from the EPS should work. It seems that only the Daze cantrip has that immunity limitation - perhaps to keep it from becoming too powerful as only a cantrip.

EPS DC 15 Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 So, 2 damage, no daze

Enrik shakes his head momentarily and his face becomes one of the most grim determination, "I have nothing left to lose!" He swings with his battleaxe at Hagan's midsection, but is still reeling from the dazing and shrieks, and it is half-hearted. He takes a step back and seems to wait for the return strike.
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

You can tell that Ulgra continues to move east, a little slower, stopping to intone some spell.
There are too many barriers to tell what it is or exactly where she is.

GM Rolls:

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

The severely gashed man drops to his knees and puts his hands over his head.
The surrendered man is marked with a red dot.

Acrobatics, DC 10: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Acrobatics, DC 15: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 My DC guess.
The warrior on the ladder finally gets his footing and slides down the ladder, turning and drawing his battleaxe, cursing the surrendering man.

Everyone is back up! (Except for Wuliem, who charges ahead and drinks his mutagen.)

Replied to your PM Zoog... also this thread discusses the issue of the -5 to attacks: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2mhfn?Tusked-racial-trait-vs-Razortusk-feat

End Archeologists luck, Lingering Performance kicks in to extend duration by two rounds. Full attack against dude that climbed down the ladder.

Bite 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Damage 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Claw 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Damage 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Claw 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Damage 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Farg was about to bite the man's head off but as the coward surrenders he turns to his companion who seems to be even more foolish! In a flurry of claws and teeth the beast man from the Abyss attempts to take the Ulfen down.

Wuliem sees the Tiefling easily handling the two thugs.

Well, I suppose that he doesn't need our assistance/

Thanks for looking that up for me, Farg. I'll check that out. :) Also, I see how to get +5 on strength damage per attack (+1 archaeologist's luck, +4 1x strength), but I am missing a point; similarly I get +6 (+1 arch. luck, +1 BAB, +4 strength) on to hit. You seem to know what you are doing, so I'll just task you with educating me. Either way, the results below are the same.

The second warrior, in turn, receives the tiefling's ferocious bite and a swipe with a powerful claw, and drops his battleaxe and surrenders, as well, "I - we - surrender - too! Mercy!"

Well, so far, we have to give much of this combat - and, as importantly, saving a bunch of goblins from a potential slaughter - to Farg.

My other trait, fate's favored increases all luck bonuses I receive by +1... yeah I know that's also kinda overpowered for a trait...

Loose your weapons now...! Farg spits at the slobbering morons kneeling before him.

Well played, Farg!

Wuliem looks back the way he came.

I wonder if We hurry, may be something left for us?

Farg - Ah, good. I've heard about that one, and it seems you really brought everything together.

Well, two down, two to go.
