Which adventures should I play as lead up to PFS Gen Con Special: The Sky Key Solution

I have the good fortune of playing "PFS Gen Con Special: The Sky Key Solution" at Gencon this year. I haven't had a chance yet to play many of the Season 6 adventures. Which ones are the best to play as precursors to this special?

I would recommend the Scions of the Sky Key 1, 2, 3, From Under Ice, Test of Tar Kuata, Returned to Sky, and Tapesty's Toil. Those seven scenarios relate directly or indirectly to the Sky Key.

Scarab Sages 4/5 5/55/5 *

Do The Wounded Wisp before Test of Tar Kuata and From Under Ice before Tapestry's Toil.

Grand Lodge 5/5 5/55/5 ***

From Under Ice should definitely precede Tapestry's Toil.

If you're into the new faction cards though, take note: both Scarab Sages and Grand Lodge seek pieces of the Sky Key as a condition. But there's only so many pieces around. You might want to divvy up scenarios that clearly hint at getting pieces among your interested characters.

If you're up for it, see about doing The Silver Mount Collection or The Technic Siege; those showcase the Technic League and Numerian technology, which may feature in the Special (or not).

I hope you've played Legacy of the Stonelords, that's where this Sky Key thing got started in the first place. Also it's the best Special I've seen so far.

I'd add The Technic Siege and By way of Bloodcove as a prequels to Scions of the Sky Key as well, though it's not easy to do with the same character in the correct order.

If you're not careful you're gonna list almost all of S6 as "good to run before the season finale". There's a lot of cohesion in this season, while it's still all over the map.

Well, there is a lot of cohesion this season, and personally, I think this is a good thing! :-)

Yeah, I really liked S5, but I'm leaning towards liking S6 even more.

I for one do welcome our robot overlords :)

Only one to go and I've put the darn thing together and can play the finale with all the parts in tow. Only had to play up once, run the special and play as Kyra in Returned to the Sky and...and...

Yeah, I'm just setting myself up for disappointment, ain't I?

Well, Technic Siege sets off the whole Mwangi story arc which ultimately leads to the expedition to the Bandu Hills. By way of Bloodcove is quite directly part of that arc as well ;)

I think there are still enough season 6 scenario's that have only a smaller link to the Sky Key metaplot because they are dealing with other plot arcs, such as the (financial) fallout after the expedition to Jormurdun.

I dunno. Legacy of the Stonelords did not disappoint me...

Legacy of the Stonelords was a ton of fun.

I meant that having all those parts on the same character likely won't amount to much if anything during the Sky Key Solution. I'm sure it'll be great scenario, not arguing that. Stonelords rocked.

Anyhow, got all the pieces together now. Feels like an accomplishment!

My only complaint about the Technic siege is my Maagambian Archaist couldn't come to the old stomping grounds. :D
