YUS.
I think one of my favourite images from 3.5 was the one of the gnome in stuffed fullplate trying to feed berries to a badger.
I know the one. William O'Connor piece, if I recall.
EDIT: Races of Stone, page 132. ^_^
Yep! The gnome just looks so happy to be hanging with his buddy and not getting horrifically mauled in the process ^w^

...i'm, seeing the potential prospect of a TPK in the very first fight.
2 goons, written to use PA, they already struck down the barbarian and have halved the bard's HP.
Any thoughts?
The team who got TPH'ed last time.
Edit: If my dice results are this good at current time, the later fights with burning skeletons are going to be murder.

Wreck them and leave them weeping in the ruin of their once-glorious builds. That'll learn them.
Do you roll in public? Decrease the frequency of their hits, or have one get unlucky on their save.
Alternatively, have them hear a call for them from deeper within the location. One could go check it out, especially if they're overconfident about defeating the PCs.
GM Tyrant Princess |
I see... a published adventure! Perfect. When their doom comes, you are held blameless. Just following orders, as it were.
If your rolls can't be controlled, I advise a change of enemy focus. The previous suggestion re: calls from deeper within might be workable. If the party has inflicted no meaningful harm, maybe the goons will just throw them out.
"Not worth our time," one mutters, while the other grins and strokes his blade. "Come back when you've learned how to fight!" he calls as they retreat, hauling their fallen barbarian with them.
Kalindlara Contributor |
Hmm. They're in trouble. Hopefully they've got the Prestige to get raised.(This is one of those situations where the "conventional wisdom" of not bringing an effective healer and relying on CLW wands can bite groups.)
As for the burning skeletons, it's not the attacks that get you... it's the no-save aura. Especially if they all pile up on someone.
Rysky |
I know....i ran it before for a group of 5, excluding animal companion.
Yay for the tiefling monk. But the death explosions and static fire aura......pain, the pain!
Anyway...Rysky, what are your plans for the night?
Nothing so far, just woke up and came to work and now that everything's settled down I'm checking what all went down while I was sleeping.

Thankies Tyrant for holding the fort down while I was napping.
Once you're able to walk straight again I'm sure your services will be much requested elsewhere.

im starting a camaign and am just slightly worried how i will intigate th characters into the grand scheme of things. like how do you go about developing the introduction of them to the overall theme?
Without knowing the plot or events I can't really say anything about that, but for the players I would take a pre-session (or two) and have everyone interact and formulate how their characters would know, or not know each other and why they're traveling together or at the very least together when the campaign starts.
I've had rather annoying experiences when starting the a game and the GM just decides that "you all have known each other for a long time" without, ya'know, any of us knowing anything about the others' characters and it leading to a s@@+storm when the characters actually interact.

I know! Why not have them all meet up for the first time at the start of the first session of the campaign! Yeah! That way, all those inconsistencies just make sense.
Now where would a bunch of adventurous strangers be likely to be together for the first time without knowing each other...I got it! The local tavern!
I...am a genius!

I had to work nightshifts. So my weekend was taken by sleep and work. I have 3 hours in the morning and 2 1/2 hours in the evening to myself, lest i deprive myself of sleep. :)
But i have a 4 day weekend from wednesday on. :D
---------------
Seen anything crazy this weekend on/in news, internet or f2f?

They're not continuing my employment -_- , no reason given.
Finding, and landing for that matter, a job is difficult.I am in need of moral support.... >_>

I'd thought of the same thing when I got told on 13 hours notice I was working Saturday. But they don't deserve Succubi.

Sounds like you might want to get in touch with some Devils instead and really put them through the ringer.

Always room for more morale boosting, whether through group or personalized one on one sessions. Just make sure death ward is up.

No, they are however perfectly acceptable for the Goblin space navy. Mostly the rockets. And the catapults.

Death ward has a time limit, Succubi appetites do not.

Have you seen Deadpool yet? Do you have plans to go see it?
I would very much like to go see it, but unfortunately I don't like to go to the movies alone.
I normally go with my dad but due to work we've been unable to go for... awhile, actually. I think the last movie I saw in theatres was Iron Man 3.

I didn't know it was that time of year already.
No, unfortunately. Other than implementing processes that would make it harder for them to create accounts, but that would only maybe work if they're bots.
