I know my last post when I tried to explain PFO from the perspective of a PFS player got moved from here to another board. I haven't posted anything PFO related here since.
I hope this doesn't happen for this post. It is meant for PFS VOs and not for existing PFO players. I therefore feel it actually belongs here.
Greetings! We are pleased to announce that the Pathfinder Society, Paizo's organized play program for Pathfinder tabletop roleplaying and the Adventure Card Game is coming to Pathfinder Online!
Wow - this means it wasn't a joke when Rob Silk and his ranger owed me some time at Emerald Lodge to do pennance after the Tomb of the Iron Medusa.
If you are a PFS VO - let me know if you need any help. 80% of early members of the Emerald Lodge have been European PFS members and we build a Pathfinder Society (in this case I mean Pathfinder Society as the Absalon one - not the organized play) into our background story and our name.
The leader Theodum - actually earned his title as VC during the Eye of the 10 and decided to open a lodge next to the Spire to claim it for the society.
There was a second PFS settlement - Open Road - maybe Nanni Pratt or someone else is able to get this settlement back on the road.
Anyhow - welcome and I'm happy to help any PFS VOs joining the game.
Watching "Let's Play" videos online, I have been greatly underwhelmed by the game so far.

At the time I wrote this I expected an announcement soon. I wasn't aware there was a discussion already happening on the VO boards.
I prefer to post as Theodum when I make a fool of myself.
According to my information (and that is without access to the VO boards) all VOs got access to PFO online. I don't know yet what further plans there are.
I just wanted to reach out and help as I founded a settlement there that was based on PFS (Absalom not PFS here) background.
Maybe one of the VOs can add some information here.

Judging by the lack of responses, this probably isn't the best forum for this discussion, right?
If I had an interest in doing anything online, whether it was roll20, pbp, or an MMO, I'd seek out a forum that catered to that audience.
Since most ppl in this forum probably aren't interested in that, wouldn't you rather have it posted where it'll generate the discussion you're looking for?
I haven't flagged it for removal. Just picking your brain.

This thread was to specifically to reach out to PFS in regard to recent PFS specific propomtions of PFO towards PFS players - so roll20, pbp or MMO are not places to reach out to PFS players.
It seems the place was right, just not the time. Thanks for the VO reaching out to me privately explaining the lack of posts. Seems VO don't post because of NDA.
So lets just wait for more official information. I might have just acted prematurely based on rumours and snippets of information I got.

To join - click on the tower symbol - search for Emerald - that will show all Emerald Lodge companies. Click on the Emerald Lodge and a window opens - there is an apply button.
I try to look 1/day and approve everyone. Rights (recruit, craftsman, officer) depend on whom I know / contributions. I can't just open up the settlement vaults to everyone if I don't know who it is (otherwise 1 day our vault will be empty).
I have restarted to make Tier 1 equipment (weapons, armor) and try to have it stocked in the settlement vault.
For a starter:
General chat, help chat and PFU (Pathfinder University) are very useful resources. I'm on European timeline - but feel free to ask in general if anyone from Emerald Lodge is online if you are in the settlement. Introduce yourself and they should help.
I gave Pirate Rob evelated rights. So he should have access to more or less everything.
You can also google Emerald Lodge Guild and find us on the guild pages (there are member only forum) that are a better place to give advice like this. But I posted it here as some others might need the same advice.
