Osirion: 5 Parts of the Soul

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I know they based it off of the real ancient Egyptian concept, but they also tweaked it slightly.

How did they break it down in Mummy's Mask?

I believe Mummy's Mask only uses three: the ka, the ib, and the ba. I'm probably embarrassingly wrong though. I'll check the Path tomorrow and get back. :)

@Kalindlara is right.

All pieces exists, but in Mummy Mask, the pharaoh's soul is divided only in tree parts (ka, ib and ba).

Technically its not wrong either, because the Khat is the physical body, which is normally preserved by mummification. While the sheut (the shadow) always exists, even in the form of statues or memories. And Ren is the name, which was never split or erased, just hidden in secret libraries so people would forget about him.

Thanks :)
