The playtest rules suggest that carrying sling bullets to use with the power would be just as effective (or just any pretty rocks you have picked up along the way).
Even if a telekineticist uses this power on a magic weapon or other unusual object, the attack does not use any of the magic weapon’s bonuses or effects and simply deals the telekineticist’s blast damage.
I have never been able to find a particularly clear description of what exactly counts as unattended but I think objects that are current under your control should be usable - having to drop them on the ground first seems a little silly.
Admittedly the "You throw whatever unattended object happens to be nearby" text may mean your GM will rule you don't get to pick what unattended item is used and it is just something from the area you are in, possibly causing you to attack with (and possibly destroy) loot.
I assume these will become somewhat more clear once the actual book is out in July.

Sorry for posting on a months-old thread, but the OP's question is still relevant. I have the same question, and even with Occult Adventures out, I can't seem to find an answer. I want to use a standard weapon as a telekineticist, but still be able to quickly go "hands-free" for Gather Power. What about hiding daggers in my sleeves and throwing those? Do they count as "unattended"? And since drawing them is a standard action (assuming no quickdraw), does that mean including them in a blast is a full-round action, or is something so simple really going to take two turns to do?

Let me resurrect this thread as well as this question is still relevant.
I am playing a gambler who uses darts/cards/dice with his telekinetic blast. It seems a bit ridiculous that I would need to have the Quick Draw feat in order to do this, or have it require a full round action. My way around it would be to drop a bunch of cards/dice/darts onto the floor prior to combat, but that just seems silly.
I have proposed to my GM to hand wave this requirement and simply consider drawing the item as part of the blast. Nonetheless, this thread gets a FAQ from me.
