The Vanguard Award is the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design's award for the most innovative game of the year. This year, it gave out two awards, one for Marvel Dice Masters and one for PACG. So that's nice!

Awesome! Totally deserved.

Congratulations! A very well deserved honor. My friends and I are looking forward to the Apocrypha ACG and any future games that work with the ACG model.

Shadow Lodge

Nice! Both games that I love. :)

The Exchange

Congrats!! Happy to see that this amazing game is getting the credit it deserves...one of my favorites :)

Scarab Sages

Very well-deserved. Frankly, it should have won 2014's award, too.

There was no Vanguard Award in 2014, nor in any year since 2008. The Origins Award people awarded it in 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008. They've revived the award and are (in my opinion) essentially giving it this year to the PACG team and the Quarriors team for creating new categories.

Lone Shark-related people have won the Vanguard twice previously: James Ernest won it for Diceland in 2002, and James and I won it for Pirates of the Spanish Main, our first game after founding Lone Shark.
