racial heritage qualify for feat?

Rules Questions

If I took racial heritage"skin walker" can I take the feat extra features.

To gain a gore and two hoof attacks.

Or would I need to shape change?

If I took the feat can i now shape change?

you would have more features if you were to change, but lacking the skinwalkers shape changing ability, you are unable to take advantage of it.

It would be like having a feat that gave extra uses per day of Orc Ferocity. Sure, a Human with Racial Heritage (Orc) could take the feat... but he could never put it to use since he lacks the Orc Ferocity ability.

what about if the human contracted lycanthropy would such extra features come into play in the hybrid form of the lycanthrope?

When you change shape to your bestial form, you may choose one additional feature from those listed in your shapechange ability and gain that benefit while in bestial form.

While it is true that you can argue a lycanthropic form is bestial, their Change Shape ability does not list any features. As such, it is impossible for you to choose one.

I suppose you could argue due to wording that Racial Heritage Batkin qualifies you for Bat Shape without having the racial Beast Form ability but i would expect most GMs to ban it. Still, i like the idea that a subest of otherwise perfectly mundane people just turn into bats and fly around when they have somewhere to be.

Once you get bat shape and dire bat form would that count then?

You are not likely to get a GM to buy off on it. The Skinwalker racial ability states, "A skinwalker can change shape to and from a bestial form as a standard action." the feat Extra Feature clearly references this same beastial Shape. even if you GM buys off on Bat Shape, that is an ordinary bat that doesnt gain any features so Extra Feature still wouldnt apply.

If you don't have the skin walker change shape, you can't use it with racial heretiage.
