Canonically, since they're a fan-build, you won't find them in Golarion. But for your home games, scuri don't see the world in terms of nations and borders, and so have dwindled or been run off as Taldor expanded to control more of Avistan, then dissolved into countless smaller nations who DO make a big deal out of borders. In Avistan, those that remain prefer isolated locales, such as deep in the Verduran and Fangwood Forests and the untames corners of the River Kingdoms. A small population lives on the fringes of society in Absalom as something in-between a criminal gang and survivalists. In Tian, small groups likewise populate the towers of Goka, but larger communities can be found in Lingshen and Quain. Xenophobic and deeply spiritual clades also dwell int he Forest of Spirits and northern Minkai, but their coloration and outlook are alien to the other scuri of Tian.I just saw your writeup of the Scuri, they're friggin awesome! Amusing tangentially-related anecdote: A State Department recruiter came to my school recently, and as part of the pitch, mentioned that they would get employees their passports.
"Who in this room has a current passport?"
Every hand went up.
"Huh, that's interesting..."
"That's Alaska."
There's a whole generation of kids growing up in the States that don't know that it was once possible to cross into Canada (and Mexico, too, though I've never been) using just one's state-issued ID card.

As a Canuck, I remember the days past when we did not need a passport to go south and visit Washington. We spent allot of summers down in a cabin we had on Lummi Island. All gone now. These days I dread crossing the border becuz of the cold reception we get at crossing. I've gotten merely unfriendly to down right hostile. Too scary. I just stay home these days, and dream of what I'm missing at Paizo Con or Comic Con. Have you ever experienced a situation with any officials that made you uncomfortable or afraid?
Just want to say, thank you guys for laughing at my Medicinal Weapon Quality write-up, and rolling it in. Obviously, I did it on the fly, but I probably should have worded it somehow to make sure that a Medicinal weapon casts remove disease on the thing the weapon just stabbed.

At the Manitoba/North Dakota border, re-entering the country of which I am citizen and whose passport I carry, my car was searched to the tune of having every single item I had spent a week packing up for the move opened and pawed through while I was told to sit a building away. In order, once again, to re-enter my own country.
So it's not just you guys who get the shaft from border control.

Looks at current border/refugee crisis in Europe and scratches head.
Or to look at it another way, the European Union and the US are on roughly the same scale. You have free movement with the Union and controls on the borders. We have free movement within the states and controls on the borders.
Crisis shmisis, the fact that I can drive to Barcelona and stop only to refuel is an achievement. You guys have been an union since day one (slight turbulences notwithstanding), we've been killing each other just recently :)

Do any of Golarion's more modern militaries still field large quantities of spear infantry as the core of their armies, or are other polearms the norm, with spears being outmoded by the longer pike, or more versatile halberd, bill or voulge?
Actually, with magic artillery to back up most armies, large and concentrated formations are a suicide gambit. Most conflicting armies dig in and stare angrily at each other from just beyond the reach of long range, then pay adventurers to go stir up s&#$ with the opposing side.

Traffic stops or even being around police are even worse, because I am keenly aware that trans women can be accused of prostitution for walking around in broad daylight, then thrown into prison with men. I've had other negative experiences with police, and heard far worse from friends, and it all adds up to a very deep fear.

Well, Guadalajara is the "San Francisco" of México, so this is the place down in Mexico where you'll waltz around the smoothest if you decide to get a passport. You can even get married down here again and hopefully adoption will be open soon too :)

What are your thoughts on KFC?
As a whole I don't have strong feelings about KFC, but in this specific instance I am glad they chose the side of "treating minorities like human beings." I'd love to believe that the manager they fired was just ignorant and could have worked with some resources or a therapist to be less of a jerk, but my experience has taught me over and over that there are a lot of people who are simply full of hate and will use whatever power they have to hurt people who can't fight back.
Seems like the more vulnerable a person is, there more incensed some people are to harm them, sad as that is. :(

Why do Agathions have animal aspects, besides the fact that their predecessors, the Guardinals, did? What's the in-universe reason they take on animal features?
Better question: Why do so many animals think it's okay to rip off agathions like that?

The USA and Canada share so many cultural similarities, why do you think America is so different on this point?
I think a lot of America's differences from Canada are based around the attitudes of the original colonists. Canada was largely a mercantile venture, and a lot of the people who went to Canada ultimately still thought of themselves as Europeans with European values. The people who settled the Americas were largely stubborn outsiders before they ever came here: religious separatists, political exiles, criminals, and various landed elites who are used to being in charge. Canadians seem to pride themselves on getting along and pitching in, while Americans prize individuality and personal freedom; both these things have their merits, but when it comes to a "live and let live" philosophy, one has a marked advantage.
Obviously that's an oversimplification. Both countries still have very different political histories that have done a lot to shape individual tendencies since being settled, and both countries fail or succeed in very similar ways when it comes to other issues. But when push comes to shove, I generally see Canadians be more willing to compromise or agree to something they might not personally want because it helps more people, while I see Americans more resentful of anything they perceive as "being told what to do."
Or, as Dan Savage says...
Australia got the convicts, Canada got the French, and we got the Puritans.
Why is it that when I can get onto the Paizo site for whatever reason, a small part of me seems to die?

I think her next step is being the first woman to develop a Pathfinder Adventure Path. Yes, I know, if I travelled back to 2007 and told you folks a lady is gonna be in charge an AP everybody would laugh at me. ;-)
