Hello all!
I plan on running the Red Hand of Doom adventure for some of my friends in the near future and I was looking for other adventures, or adventure paths, to tie into it. I don't mind converting any adventures but any links to them would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking for adventures that would make a good build up and for continuing the story afterwards, possibly City of the Spider Queen?
The campaign will be run using either 3.5 or Pathfinder.
Any advice on how to run RHoD or any suggested adventures is also more than welcome!

It might work together with the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP or with the Righteous Wrath AP, from what I recall. But I´m not too sure about those, to be honest.

I am the author of the custom maps at Fallschaden, and also in the process of making a Pathfinder Bestiary for that adventure (although complete conversions are already available), which can be found at the lower end of the linked site. If you don't mind using other 3.5 adventures, I've found "Sunless Citadel" to be a great starting point for Red Hand of Doom (and it's a great introduction adventure in itself).

You can simply remap Ashardalon to be an old dragon accompanying Azarr Kul right now (which makes him less epic but more immediately accessable), or draw a connection to the whole Tiamat backstory. In addition, there is a group of goblinoids in the dungeon that can easily become a scouting party send there by Azarr Kul to find some magic weapons for the upcoming war, or maybe a contingency item to bring the dragons back in line in case of loyalty problems.
You need to bridge a level or two between Sunless Citadel and RHoD, but that's easily accomplished with a quest that causes the characters to be on the road and on their way to Elsir Vale (or wherever your game takes place). A second encounter with hobgoblin raiders en route will ensure that your players are highly motivated once RHoD officially starts. I myself plugged the 3.5 Pathfinder module "Into the Haunted Forest" in between and it worked great (I changed a few things, but it was a welcome change of pace).
Other than that, I can highly recommend the GiantitPG GM Handbook thread linked by Stebehil above. Its long, but almost all possible pitfalls and problems are discussed at length.
