Mad Monkeys and their ability to take commands

Rules Questions

Mad Monkeys is a spell that summons monkeys that, "understands and obeys your commands" but with the stats of a regular monkey swarm.

Would they be able to take a cyclical object, place it on a console, and then turn a key if instructed to do so?
By the initial description if I commanded them to then they should be able to understand that, right? But there is an argument that an intelligence of 2 is not going to be able to do that?

Thoughts?

It clearly states UNDERSTANDS your commands. That to me at least means they do what you ask them too as long as they are physically capable.

That is exactly what I said, but they said that that means you don't need to speak monkey... >.>

Well you don't... if you meant they said it did, tell them they are wrong. Think of it as comprehend languages if they say about its 2 intelligence, it understands and obeys, but will take everything literally. Also they are stupid, but if you clearly explain, put the object in the device, and then turn the thingy sticking out, then yes, but if you said, pilot this ship or whatever, then maybe not.

Also it states they are mischievous, so they might try to blow up the ship, and the item will continually take damage.

I wouldn't trust those monkeys to turn a key given how much they like to destroy things they handle to be honest.

No I mean that that was their reasoning to not allow mad monkeys to understand simple commands like take cyclical device, put in hole, and turn keys.

Also it wasn't a ship it was a holy-powered ICBM that destroys not only evil people but also neutral people... >.>

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I tried to order my Mad Monkeys to write a play. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough time to complete it.

Well no, they would have desummoned.

Unless it was a short play, and then they wouldn't have used any language to write it in unless you instructed them on the shape of every letter.
