Last minute advice needed for a new character

Advice

So I am starting a game in a couple of hours and the only thing i know is my character has to be a psychopath, and really good at sneaking

the stats i have to work with (rolled) are 18,18,17,14,14,10

currently thinking of playing a twf ninja dual weilding estocs (my dm is letting me trade my katana proficiency for estoc because its finesse-able)

any ideas on race class concepts that i could use to go with the original concept?

3rd party stuff is allowed starting lvl 4 any race up to 15rp

Estocs are not light weapons, and carry a -4 penalty for using them with TWF... since Ninjas have no innate accuracy boosts, that seems unadvisable, even with those ridiculous stats.

I don't know why you want to Finesse. Your stats would be great as S18, D18, C17, I10, W14, C14... high Strength benefits TWF and 2H fighting both. (That being said, psychopathy would involve having low Wisdom...)

Anyway, I would recommend, if you want to TWF, to just pick up TWF and Improved TWF... Greater TWF comes in way too late and has very little benefit, so don't worry about getting D19 for the prerequisite.

If you go TWF, skip Power Attack.

As TWF, any race would work really, I think Hobgoblin could fit the idea of a Psychopath, plus they get bonuses to DEX/CON and Stealth, which should make you excellent in combat and out of it.

That being said, you probably want to TWF Wakizashi, since they are the best TWF weapon.

Otherwise, you can go 2H Estoc or Katana, which are honestly the same fricking weapon save for a few meager points of damage. If you go 2H, you want Power Attack and Furious Focus.

For the rest of the character, get Steadfast Personality, Iron Will, Great Fortitude, perhaps the Moonlit Stalker featline...

You could also make a good Unarmed build.

You've got several really good stats, which makes me want to multiclass.

Depending on how long you'll be playing this guy:

Fib The Temporary
goblin alchemist vivisectionist/winged marauder 2, ninja 2
Str 14 (12)
Dex 18 (22)
Con 17+1 (18)
Int 14
Wis 10
Cha 18 (16)

1 Weapon finesse (Alchemy, Flying Beast Tamer, Sneak Attack 1d6, Brew Potion, Throw Anything)
2 (Discovery: Chameleon +4 enhance to stealth, Poison Resist 2, poison use)
3 TWF (sneak attack 2d6)
4 ki pool (ninja trick: fast stealth)

-Stealth is +19 (+4 ranks +3 class +4 size +4 racial+4 chameleon, with potentially +4 from ki point) at full speed.

-Despite being Small, goblins move at 30', which is nice.

-Goblins are all psychopaths

He's temporary (unless you progress in vivisectionist) because eventually the animal companion will become too delicate to survive adventures. In the meantime, though, having a flying companion who can carry you around is nifty, and if you're both on the ground he can instead provide flank. I'd probably take the dire bat over the vulture -- the vulture is a better fighter, but the bat has blindsense which is pretty awesome.

thanks for the advice definitely some fun ideas ended up as the +dex/+cha tiefling

and i took effortless lace to make it count as a light weapon so only -2/-2 for twf

I was gonna say, you could always ask your DM if you could take Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting... but you're using Effortless Lace.

Still, OTWF was fine in 3.5 and it's fine now.

It's not even that great, actually - it's a Feat that lets you dual-wield Katanas. Woo...

Combined with Monkey Grip it's much better but not OP in the slightest. MG let you wield an Oversized Weapon just like its properly-sized counterpart, but you still got the -2.

Honestly, when I DM, I allow both Monkey Grip and Oversized TWF without question, and I rule that Monkey Grip removes ALL penalties from using a one-size above Oversized weapon - both the need to wield it in one more than than usual AND remove the penalty.

That's two feats that players need to take in order to dual-wield Large Katanas, Large Bastard Swords, Large Falcatas, etc. That alone balances things out spectacularly.

The extra damage is cool, but nothing even approaching broken, and they're absolutely nowhere NEAR the levels of power that a full spellcaster can put out.

All they do is let you play Guts from Berserk or Cloud with the Fusion Swords from Advent Children.
