Yellow Mold!

Pathfinder PRD wrote:

If disturbed, a 5-foot square of this mold bursts forth with a cloud of poisonous spores. All within 10 feet of the mold must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or take 1d3 points of Constitution damage. Another DC 15 Fortitude save is required once per round for the next 5 rounds, to avoid taking 1d3 points of Constitution damage each round. A successful Fortitude save ends this effect. Fire destroys yellow mold, and sunlight renders it dormant.

So, to make sure I'm reading this right.

a. Does this mean that if you set off the mold you need to make five additional saves of the next rounds? Even if you move away?

b. Or the mold floats in the air for five additional rounds?

c. Or you just take the additional five rounds if you fail the initial save?

I think its c, but...

Scarab Sages

C) except, One fort save completely ends this effect. Its an ongoing poison, with one save to negate. so you might only take two rounds, or 3, all depending on when you make that fort save.

It seems like a poison build. I'd say it's 15 for initial effect, and 15 each round for 5 rounds. If they succeed in round 2; they'd only take the first. If they succeed in round 3; they only take the two prior. It has the potential to deal 6d3 con, but if a save is made round 3; they'd only take the 2d3.

I think yes, once you inhale it, you make the saves, even if you move away. It's not really "C", as you have a chance to make a save in round 2, 3, 4, and 5. Kind of a/c; if you will. Use it like a poison.
