For the fun of it, let's play a game. First person offers up an "Would you Rather X or Y?" question. The next person answers the first person, then proceeds to ask their own question.

I'll start us off...

Would you rather adopt a baby goblin or a baby kobold?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Baby Kobold.

Would you rather wake up in the morning as an elf or as a dwarf?

Grand Lodge

Elf. I'm too used to being tall.

Would you rather attend a dinner party with Geb or Nex?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Nex because Geb is a ghost and no one knows where Nex is. This way I at least find out what happened to Nex.

Who would you trust more to keep a bargain Asmodeus or Milani?

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

Asmodeus.

Would you rather be able to cast Sleep, or Grease?

Sleep. A dropped gun can still fire. A dropped guard may also be fired :P

Which would you rather have, a million copper pieces or a thousand gold pieces?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

A thousand gold pieces. I couldn't carry a million copper pieces.

Would you rather permanently lose your Dexterity modifier to AC, ot lose the ability to make attacks of opportunity?

Grand Lodge

1000 Gold Pieces, it's more prestigious, and I can carry it.

Would you rather make a wish with a Glabrezu or sign a contract with a Contract Devil?

Glabrezu, they seem nice.

Would you rather eat fire or fart lighting?

Grand Lodge

4 people marked this as a favorite.

Fart lightning, but only if I got to be eight feat tall and fight alongside William Wallace.

Would you rather be able to cast Feather Fall at any time, or Vanish?

Vanish!

Would you rather "actually meet" one of the characters you created and played and live with him a week or see your best PF/DnD/RPG scenario ever, you played and finished, as a movie with you and your friends (or your cherry-picked actors in each role)in it?

Featherfall an invisibale splat on the floor is still a spalt on the floor.

would you rather fight an uber strong goblin barabrian or a yoda wise kobold monk ?

The goblin barbarian is going to be a lot easier to trick. Also hitting the kobold monk is probably going to be harder.

Would you rather live in Ustalav or Geb?

Grand Lodge

I would rather live in Geb, there's more laws controlling the conditions of when something can eat me with and without reprisal.

Meet one of the characters I made, mostly because I haven't finished any such scenarios except PFS modules.

Would you rather turn into a tiefling or a gnome?

Ms. Pleiades wrote:

Gnome. they seem happier.

As a Goblin Oracle, would you rather be Infested or a Wrecker?

Wrecker, my name would be Rolph.

Would you rather be a Kellid or an Ulfen?

Infested. The idea of being a weird insect arcology is fascinating to me.

HenshinFanatic wrote:

Kellid. Ulfen men braid their hair... not a fan of men in braids...

Would you rather be permanently confused or staggered?

Sovereign Court

Oddman80 wrote:

Staggered. I'd rather move slow than end up with a hugging jacket.

Would you rather live in a world of high magic or low magic?

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

High magic. If I stand to get turned into a newt every few weeks, I at least want the local priest to be able to cure light wounds.

Would you rather have a party with Calistria or Cayden Cailean?

Cayden Cailean. Less chance of a social faux pas leading to horrible things.

Would you rather fall into the hands of a cult of Zon-Kuthon or a cult of Lamashtu

Liberty's Edge

Lamashtu. I'm bad with pain.

Would you rather become a skeleton or a zombie?

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I'd rather be a skeleton. They seem cleaner. Also, claws and speed over zombies.

Would you rather rescue an ugly princess, or a wealthy and grateful goblin?

Sovereign Court

Ravingdork wrote:

Ugly princess - she can afford a permanent alter self or some such. ;)

Would you rather have a pet griffon or a pet unicorn?

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Pet unicorn-much easier to build a stable in two dimensions.

Would you rather live in Golarion or Eberron?

Shadow Lodge

Ebberon- It's a lot less likely to break in half and release millions of demons that will destroy every poorly governed state.

Would you rather be hated by all the good-aligned outsiders or be "loved" by kytons

Loved by kytons. Even if it hurts, they meant well. And you don't have to let the good outsiders see.

Marry Shelyn or kill Zon-Kuthon?

The Exchange

Marry Shelyn. Family reunions will suck anyway. But killing gods causes so many problems.

Own a Dragon or own the Rusty Dragon?

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Qakisst Vishtani wrote:
Own a Dragon or own the Rusty Dragon?

Own a Dragon. Not interested in running a business - especially one that is SO close to SO many goblin settlements... That said, if i had my very own dragon - depending on my alignment, i would very easily be able to find a way to acquire ownership of the Rusty Dragon if i so desired....

Now... when getting dressed tomorrow morning, would you rather find a Somalcygot in your closet, or a Gibbering Mouther?

Dark Archive

Somalcygot, because that means my apartment is on the Moon.

Would you rather work for the Aspis Consortium, or work for the Pathfinders, under the understanding that you would be Drandle Dreng's personal assistant?

Shadow Lodge

Misroi wrote:

You are a cruel cruel man. But I'll still work for the Pathfinders. Less likely to get stabbed in the back; even if I get mugged for all the goodies by the Decemvirate after each mission.

Would you rather fight Karzoug for control of Varisia or Geb for control of Geb?

Dark Archive

Karzoug, because I've done RotRl.

Would you rather be able to cast Time Stop or Winds of Vengeance 5/day?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Karzoug, Varisia has better economic prospects.EDIT due to sniping.

Time Stop, I moonlight as a bank robber.

Would you rather be a rogue or a fallen paladin?

Liberty's Edge

Rogue, they never need to atone unless they're caught.

Would you rather mate with Squeely Nord or Mama Graul?

Shadow Lodge

I will chose a vow of chastity instead. And that's a really huge deal for me.

Would you rather be the love slave of Ileosa, Queen of Korvosa; or Abrogail Thrune, Queen of Cheliax

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Been with both, Ileosa is kinder though.

Play hide and seek with me or hide and seek with Lamashtu?

Well, you're dead. Lamashtu it is.

Become a god with few worshipers, or kill an existing one?

Become one. Nigh-unto-infinite-potential-power (remember, my followers can always find more). I'd be pretty lax in my rules (at first) to obtain more pretty easily. Plus, where Caiden Caylen is god of booze, I'd be god of other...greener...mind-influencing chemicals. That'll win me a lot of followers REAL quick. Red-eyed, confused followers, but followers nonetheless.

Would you rather be supreme monarch of a kingdom, or high-priest (title only...doesn't NECESSARILY mean you're an epic cleric) of a religion?

Since Usual Suspect took an illegal third option, I'll jump on this grenade and say Squeely Nord, only because I'm forced to choose one or the other. He's far less likely to eat me after (or during), and he's far pickier with his choice of lovers. And I apologize afterwards.

Ugh, leadership positions. I'll take high priest, though since you didn't specify the religion, I'll choose Cayden Cailean. He seems laid back, you get to go adventuring, and you get to talk a lot about beer. Now that[ is a god!

Would you rather play the Skull & Shackles AP with a paladin, or Council of Thieves with a non-urban druid?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Ooooh. Tough one.

Probably CoT with druid. In SS, I'd probably become powerless rather quickly.

BZZT! You didn't ask a question!

For one game night, would you rather all of your d20 rolls be normal random rolls, or have the die always land on 12?

Dark Archive

4 people marked this as a favorite.
Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

12, easy. That's usually right around 10 higher than I normally roll.

Would you rather fight the pre-Anniversary Edition of Xanesha with 7th level 3.5 PCs, or Deskari with 20th level non-mythic PCs?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Original Xanesha. Because I'd rather the last thing I see be easy on the eyes.

Would you rather be a cleric of Desna stuck in Cheliax or a cleric of Asmodeus stuck in Kyonin?

Shadow Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Cleric of Desna stuck in Cheliax. It is just not in me to play evil or follow evil willingly and knowingly.

Would you rather start an AP as a 1st level Azlanti with a 25 point build or a 5th level normal NPC class human with a standard 15 point build?

Edit: And nobody said I can't look for a third option if there is a reasonable one, Misroi. Given two bad options taking the option to decline is perfectly reasonable.

1st Azlanti. More character development.

Would you rather play with a DM who uses DMPCs but runs great abstract plot, or run with a by the books DM who runs only published APs?

Dark Archive

1 person marked this as a favorite.

DM who uses DMPC. They tend to be more interesting when you have no clue what's going to happen.

Would you rather be an evocation school wizard or a healbot cleric?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

The healbot cleric, because I'd like to play a character whose role decides whether your character lives or dies.

Would you rather fight against 1000 kobolds or 1 balor?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

1000 Kobolds, easier to take a bunch of them out in a single blast.

Would you rather play an extremely min-maxed 10th level fighter or an incredibly unoptimized 20th level wizard?
