A) Did Bastion Press survive the change over to 3.5/4.0/5.0, or is anyone converting over their stuff as a third party PDF?

B)Does anyone plan to Pathfinderize the wayward stepchild of the Tome of Magic, the shadowcaster?

1.) I haven't received any updates from them regarding that.
2.) Shadowcaster as-is is IP of Wizards of the Coast.

It's been done a few times now, mostly with rogue-like conversions. For a full caster version, the closest you'll get is my own antipodist base class, which started with the original shadowcaster system and then started twisting it to make it work. Rather than a tiered 9-level system, you have a tiered 4-level system. (It always was odd that 4th-level spells were easier to get than 3rd-level spells.) From there, I reworked it to fit into my overarching "light and darkness" theme, gave the class dual power pools, wrote up 135 spells for it, allowed for specialization to light or darkness, and made a roleplaying guide for crossing over to the other side. It's quite a lot of fun!

Bastion Press is DragonWing Games now. They updated their critical hit book to Pathfinder I believe. We updated some of their monsters for our Monsters of Porphyra.

The rights to Bastion's non Oathbound products are owned by Dragonwing Games. Epidemic Books owns the rights to the Oathbound products. Dragonwing updated a few products to Pathfinder. Epidemic released a Pathfinder update of the Oathbound setting. I don't believe there are any future update plans for either line.

B). Ssalarn from these forums said that he is working on a shadowcaster type class for a future Dreamscarred Press release. Playtest for it will probably go up within the next few months.

Thanks a lot for the quick replies all. I appreciate it. I wanted to check on both before I embark on a conversion for the 3.0 book of magic that Bastion released many years ago. The rune magic was a fun concept that I wanted to see recreated.

Master Arminas also did a conversion of the Shadowcaster here on the Suggestions /Houserules/Homebrew subforums...
