Does low cha reduce ki pool for ninja?

Rules Questions

Does it? I thought I read somewhere you have a minimum of 1 so wouldn't a 2cd level ninja at least have 1 ki, even if they have a cha of 9 or lower?

That's correct... you have a minimum of 1 no matter how bad you tanked your Charisma score.

The number of points in the ninja’s ki pool is equal to 1/2 her ninja level + her Charisma modifier.

so lv2 with an 8 cha you'll have zero. no line saying minimum one

There is a line somewhere that does say a min of 1 actually, just not sure where. Errata perhaps?

There is no line saying min of 1 that I've found. But I've seen the line where it says no min of 1.

Chess Pwn is correct. The class ability text does not mention that there is a minimum, and so there is not.

Usually, they have the "minimum 1" next to the "1/2 class level", meaning that you start with 1 for your class level at level 1. These kinds of class abilities usually look like "equal to 1/2 her ninja level (minimum 1) + her Charisma modifier".

They probably didn't include it in Ninja because they don't get the ki pool until 2nd level, so there was no confusion (likewise with the monk's ki pool).

I've never seen the "minimum 1" text applied to the entire class ability, just to the minimum class level. If your charisma is low enough, you can potentially have a negative ki pool (whatever that would mean).

Your negative Ki Pool would cause your body to implode and deal 20d6 to everyone in a 30ft range. You may now reroll a new character. :)
