The Superior Monk

Advice

I wanted to play a character that was a monk. Yes, I know that the Warpriest's Sacred Fist gives you Monk flavor and some of their abilities but you do lose quite a bit of your flavorful abilities.
It was the same for the Swordsage of 3.5

But I want the flavor and abilities of the Monk class, but I have to admit even with some of the good archetypes the class feels weak. Even their best archetypes only make them pretty good at a specific field and not so much a powerhouse of that focus.

So I wondered if adding a template onto my Monk character would work better for boosting his powers so long as the template complimented the monk and not just overpowered the class.

There is the Saint template which seems to have been brought up a few times recently. There is the Risen Martyr PRC from BOED that would be quite interesting on a monk. Saint would accent the powers but is also pretty strong and has a hefty requirement of strict roleplay guidelines.

So I figured if I was going with a strict Roleplay guideline character, wanted to play a monk not just for the monk flavor but also the focus on Unarmed and Unarmored style of combat as well as LG affinity I thought of the Gestalt of Enlightened Paladin//Monk (not sure of what Archetypes) perhaps of MoMS and Kata.

This would give him Wis/Dex to Ac as normal but also suppliment it with a good Cha over the levels. The Cha to saves on an all good saves build is also pretty nice, as it secures that you will not likely fall to the effect of a Fort, Reflex, or Will save easily.

Adding the saint on to this combo makes sense as well. The character is the idealic unarmed fighter of the gods probably Irori.

The full BAB when not using Flurry makes it nice because sometimes you just cannot hit with a Full-Attack when you want, so you might as well have a bonus to hit.

If Guided AOMF is allowed this makes your character very Wis focused. Wis>Dex/Cha>Con>Int>Str.

We do mix and match 3.5 material into the game we play so Guided should not be too much of a problem to get tagged onto a Amulet of Mighty Fist.

Thought of picking up the Rod of Surprises (God that sounds dirty) for an adaptive weapon that changes shape and gives me a power pole!

As far as Race I am not sure. Vanara would be really sweet, but as my picture shows I am a huge fan of the Drow and a LG Drow would stick in so many people's crawl it would be fun.

Now I must asked
"This acts as a double-strength magic circle against evil and as a lesser globe of invulnerability both as cast by a cleric whose level equal to the saint's Hit Dice." makes me confused. Double-Strength on what? How does Magic Circle double in strength? The duration? How big of an area it holds? I just don't know.
