It is with sad feelings that I submit my resignation as Venture Captain of the LA Grand Lodge. What a weird, strange trip it has been and what a great ride!! As part of the original 13 VC crew appointed by Paizo in September of 2010, we all had large geographic areas and large expectations. Here in Los Angeles, we jumped into our local gaming conventions of ORCCON/GATEWAY/GAMEX and we squeezed out two tables from the Organized play area of the convention. Over the years we have added, and carved out our own dedicated area, with over 85 PFS tables each convention, making for 3 weekends of four days of non-stop PFS gaming throughout the year. We have had a number of stores joining us with regular gamedays: Game Ogre, The Warhouse, Comic Quest, Game Empire, The Realm, Socal Games and Comics, Seth’s Gaming Stores in Ventura, Thou Shalt Game in Temecula, Pathfinder Online Gaming Collective, Aerohobbies, Brookhurst Hobbies, Dicehouse Games, Emerald Knights, GMI Games and Collecibles, Knight Ware Inc, Pair A Dice Games & Commics, the Last Genadier, Third Planet, and a number of other current and past stores throughout Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Los Angeles County and Ventura County. We were a huge region covering many players and many stores.
Our Volunteer crew grew and I received excellent support from my Venture Lt crew: Brian Darnell, Preston Poulter, Jon-Enee Merriex, Mark Dorrough, Nicholas Milasich, Frank Perkins and Ron Feldman. The Store Owners, GMs, store Coordinators and Volunteers made my job a joy: Don Collins, Eric Collins, Bruce Higa, Grant Gaines, and so many others, that I know I could not and have not listed them all, have made this a dynamic and growing region and just because I did not list your name, does not mean that your help was unappreciated nor overlooked. I could not have built this region without each and every one of you.
So what does this mean for the future of the LA Grand Lodge? Due to the growth of the region, and the number of stores and an expanding number of conventions, and events; the region shall be splitting into two new regions: Jon-Enee Merriex the current VL of Long Beach shall be stepping up and coordinating the region of Los Angeles County and coordinating with the Los Angeles Gaming Conventions to continue their run of games, reformulating the Grand Lodge throughout the area. Ron Feldman, VL of Orange County shall be stepping up and taking charge of a new Grand Lodge of Orange County and the Inland Empire, helping the expanding number of stores and conventions that are happening in Anaheim and the Greater Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties). I know they will be stepping up and introducing themselves and their new staff (Venture Lts and Store Coordinators).
Both Ron and Jon-Enee shall be appointing new Venture Lts to help them in their expanded roles and to continue to provide coverage for the play base here in Southern California. And I know that the surrounding Grand Lodges of Northern California and San Diego will continue to support them in their efforts to service the player base of California and the Western United States. I always felt blessed by the support of the surrounding Grand Lodges and Venture Officers who would often join us in the area, coming down to both play and GM in the local events, and I know that the close relationship between the entire PFS community in Southern California shall continue.
Let it be known that I will miss serving with and coordinating events with all of you, and while I will be taking a break, I am not leaving the community and look forward to playing at many of your tables, and continuing to GM a few tables in the future. I love the Southern California gaming community and want to see what is best for the community, while I continue to take care of personal matters and spend more time with my family.

Robyn, as I advised at our VO dinner at Orccon when we discussed the reorganization of the LA region, you will be missed. Your efforts have been tremendous. Your leadership has been outstanding. Guiding the new changes of the region and reorganization of that area, as well as leading the nomination and changes to VO leadership team for the next phase, is much appreciated. Good luck in your future endeavors.

May the road rise up to meet you, Robyn.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may the gods hold you in the palm of their hands.

I'm sad to see you step down, but I'm (selfishly) glad that I was able to attend one of your conventions before you did. Not only was it a great time, but I learned a lot from you about how to run a successful con. :)

Thanks for everything you have done, and if you're ever in AZ I'd be honored and delighted to run a table for you. Best wishes!

As I said elsewhere, Robyn: you and your tireless work will surely be missed. The VOs group is poorer without you, but I hope the change suits you and your life well. Peace!

As one of the many players who has benefited from all the hard work you have done over the years I would like to offer my thanks Robyn, and while I am sad to see you step down I am excited for you and all the great times still to come now that you can play at the tables yourself!

Again, thank you so much for all the work you've put in to making PFS in the area what it is today. Without you I doubt we could have grown so much in such a short time.

And don't worry, I have your number on speed dial :D.

I was lucky enough to play at one of your tables way back in Season 1 or 2. Your contribution to the campaign is greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoy a well deserved break!
